I mean it has flashes of B movie all over it, but aside from some corny costumes and special effects, it's actually pleasant to watch.

You mean how she walks over everyone as she pleases and no one ever as much as tells her off.megski wrote...
I really like how Tallis is charming enough to keep everyone friendly.
Surprised the mage guy didn't break her legs afterwards to demonstrate he's really proficient at the healing stuff. In case she still had some lingering doubts.

That's true. She certainly seemed more pleasant in MotA, whereas in Redemption (while I'm interested in the character), there's much more "I can do whatever I want" attitude. Like taking the gold from the Keeper's tent, and then gloating at the annoying Dalish boy about it.
And stabbing him for no reason.

But then again, the whole thing is written by Tallis' character Felicia Day. So I shouldn't be surprised that Tallis is written to be so SPESHUL and is allowed EVERYTHING without any consequences at all. I try to avoid to name her Mary Sue, but can't deny that this comes to my mind when watching it. Too bad, really.

It's not very expensive: providing English subtitles does not require hiring translators, or a team of new actors. It's just a few hours of work and an extra link on Youtube. But providing English subtitles for Redemption webseries would mean a world to Dragon Age fans with not-so-good English, or fans with bad oral reception, or people with bad hearing(I guess I'm all three, then).

That's a good idea. The Redemption actors often mumble their lines quickly. As a native English speaker, I find myself having to rewind to try and work out what they're saying.

I quite enjoyed the last episode thanks to Nyree and the scenery (the tavern was great) but I really, really dislike how the red thread of this series seems to be to make everyone look utterly stupid and incompetent save for Tallis. Tallis is so god damn awesome that she is capable of doing everything, waltzing over the other characters as she pleases and get away with it. I honestly doubt that the Dalish elves would cooperate with her just like that, or even more that she would have a word in stopping them from shooting that Templar. Especially after their keeper got taken away by one. Not a chance. Or how she is treating that Dalish boy...ugh.

You mean Tallis' actress, right?
Am I right in assuming you were mesmerized by your avatar?

LOL! I did! I found them fun in a way that I didn't find the main game and the increase in 'at location' conversation mitigated some of the problems with the dialogue system. They were big quests without a lot of back and forth errand running. All in all, they felt a lot more like Origins quests which was very welcome.Zjarcal wrote...

It's not even slightly official. I, for one, couldn't disagree more. Not only did I enjoy both DLC far more than the base game (although they could do nothing about the combat, etc, of course), including MotA, but I'm also enjoying DA:Redemption immensely.
OMG, you actually enjoyed the DLCs? That actually makes me really happy.

Episodes 1-3 have these actually, you can enable them through "CC" icon of the Youtube player. They're added by the viewers if i understand it right, bless them. Because yes, they're very helpful, especially for non native speakers like myselfKulyok wrote...
I think it's a great gift to the community, but to me it also seems really rude and unfair not to provide English subtitles for this one. Given that both games have English subtitles, and other mediums also have text(books or soon-to-be released Dark Horse comic), it's a huge disappointment that Redemption doesn't.
In other news, episode 5 seems to be out.

ETA:
I do like how the story is progressing between Cairn and Tallis. Instead of, "Oh let's make out, I love you!" In the first five minutes, its a little more gradual between them. I like that part of the story. I also like the whole renegade thing, I think it shows that while strong in their convictions, they can still think for themselves.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: poor Josmael is going to die horribly in the next episode. He's been the butt monkey of this series and there's no way in hell he's getting a happy ending.

Josamel and Nyree especially. Nothing good has happened for our "Level One New Guy" while our Reaver is the badass out of the group in my opinion.

Healing, Dealing Great Amounts of Damage, Taking Blows for the Team, Critical Strikes here or there. Josamel's probably going to get a CROWNING MOMENT OF AWESOME.

Tallis is guaranteed to survive by virtue of this being a prequel to Mark of the Assassin and my gut tells me that Nyree will likely make it. However, Josmael is doomed to die in some utterly meaningless fashion and I wouldn't put any bets on Cairn making it out alive.
I am thinking that too, but I don't think he really cares either. But, I think that whatever happens, it's going to show us why Tallis stopped being..well I don't know how to describe her really lol.
Oh! And, a month after DA: R ends, Asunder is coming out, so more dragon agey goodness.
