Mails from these forums are sent from "eadaweb<2 digit no>.eao.abn-iad.ea.com" which produces one of the following errors:
either
1) that domain doesn't exist or
2) there are no MX or A records for the domain or
3) none of the MX records resolve
A quick check reveals that eg. eadaweb09.eao.abn-iad.ea.com (which is the one that failed on our mail server) doesn't exist. Using a non-existent host name to send mails is not according to the rfcs and is mostly used by spammers to send spam.
Mails from Bioware/ea (sent from the host name above) will fail any strict sender domain checks and will NOT be delivered on any mail servers that use strict sender domain checks. As spam grows more and more, there will be more and more mail providers implementing such checks which will result in Bioware/ea mails not getting through to the intended receipients.
I didn't quite know where to post this so feel free to move this to whereever you think appropriate.

Hey eleve, thanks for reporting this. I've moved this to the Social Site Help board because it fits better there. I'll contact our server admins about the problem.

Ok, we've tweaked our MX records and this should be resolved although it might take a bit of time for the DNS to propagate. Let me know if you're still having problems with it.
