Baldur's Gate II? Isn't that an engine to build Tutu? Posted Image

I like that!

Yep - some nice BioWare folks got a cute little expansion thing going just so we could get an Easytutu going :D

G3 is up and down a bit, but Theacefes is working on it. In the meantime, 2_BR4ZIL_2 had it right -

http://www.camagna.n...ncy_mirror.html

gets you all the G3 mods, and we'll work on building some of the more static content (like the Tutu install Order and Compatibility List) into site pages available on backup sites just in case this sort of thing happens again.

And I was trying not to visit here so much, as each time I do, my ME1 and 2 and my DA:O games drag me out of modding and into fun familiar haunts...

We appreciate you stopping by, cmorganbg.

Could you tell something about why the site keeps going down? Are you still having problems with porn-posting hackers? Or is it a problem with capacity? Both rumours abound. For me, it's easier to deal with bad news like that hated Dot5 message 'this site has been suspended' if I know why. And maybe Dot5 could also be a bit more informative on that error page.

I wish I could say specifically what is wrong, but G3 is a relatively loose modding community. Gibberlings take turns doing whatever needs to be done; right now, Grim Squeaker and Theacefes are the folks volunteering to handle the IPB materials. Theacefes is working out what has happened, and working with the host - something to do with the Admin CP and being[ able to/unable to] remove unwanted materials from the database.

The good news is that when we get it resolved, there will be several mod update releases; and we do have that backup mirror.

In terms of long-term site viability, well... think about it this way. The folks modding at G3 are still poking about in the game we love, well after normal, rational, reasonable human beings have moved on to new games. We may not be particularly pragmatic, heck - we probably are not particularly "sane", in the true sense of the world - but our little corner of unreality is home enough that we expect to be around for a very, very long time :)

The effort of the Gibberlings is greatly appreciated by less normal, rational, reasonable human beings like me who are incurably addicted to Baldur's Gate and love tweaking it to the limit!

In case anyone was still wondering, the site's back up. Sorry about the downtime. We made a lot of upgrades that should hopefully keep the site running without downtime for a long time to come.

She says this two days before the server crash... ;-)
