So I got awkening today and when I started the campaign I did not have starfang in my inventory. I googled it and people said it wouldnt transfer over because its dlc but I should have a different 2 handed sword in my inventory but all I have are bow and arrows. Also when I tried to load my origins file to see if maybe I un equipped the sword for some reason I was getting an error that said I need to be logged in because I had 3 dlc add ons. I was logged in though but I still couldnt load my save. I logged out and logged back in only to still have the same problem. While logged out I tried loading the file and it worked just fine. Does anyone know what is going on?

I think maybe I can shed some light on the problem you are having, having experienced a similar case myself. Do you know what current version of the game you are running? For instance patch 1.04? Patch 1.05beta? I found that during patch 1.04 due to a commonly known registry error I was unable to access my DLC, however upon patching to 1.05 beta it allowed me to. After I accessed my DLC I tried to go back to 1.04 and it would give me log in errors because of my DLC and I was forced to repatch to 1.05 beta. So Check your game version and see if maybe you are on an unpatched version or just a lower than current patch version of the game.
P.S. Starfang doesn't swap over. Nor do a lot of the weapons sadly. However if you obtained a 2h weapon by the name of "Summer Sword" that will transfer over to the Awakening file. If all else fails I'm certain you will find the Weapon shop in Amaranthine stocked with powerful weapons to be wielded by your Warden and his companions. Happy Hunting!
