I am sorry if I am putting this in the wrong place or if someone else has already asked this. I am pretty new to the forums.

But does a Hardened Alistair get upset if you make Anora sole ruler?

I just did this one of my play through's. It just resulted in slightly different dialogue.

If you pick Anora when Eamon asks you to choose who will rule Ferelden, Alistair will object and state that he should be put on the thrown, not her. If he is hardened, he will say something like this:

"You once told me that I should stand up for myself! Well here I am, standing up for myself! Choose me!"

Then you are free to pick (again) who will rule Ferelden.

And to answer your question, yes he gets upset, but doesn't leave the party (if not Loghain is alive, that is).

Odd....he didn't say that in my game.
My Warden supported Anora, fought Loghain, killed him then gave Anora the throne and Alistair didn't say anything. I wonder if Anora betraying the Warden is what prompts this line in his dialogue?

I'm 99% sure that Alistair's "I'm standing up for myself" dialogue only opens up if you choose the "Riordan has a point, we should put him through the Joining" path. If you choose "No. Loghain has to die for his crimes", then Ali stays mum.

But I could be wrong.... I'll try to re-install the toolset & confirm, if no-one else happens by with something authoritative.

I don't remember exactly, but I assume this is the case.

Thank you guys for helping. I didn't want Alistair leaving the party or me losing a lot of approval so close to the end.
