I just finished DA2 for the first time this morning, and am thinking about DL Legacy. Is it worth the cost and how long does it take to play through?
Is Legacy worth it?

Took me about 3 hours. Very interesting story, nice companion interaction (especially for the siblings, Varric and Anders, though everyone gets interesting banter), good loot, interesting new enemies, less waves in combat, great boss battles, some nicely done riddles. For me, it was absolutly worth it.

I liked Legacy. It gives some nice backstory for the Hawke family, and overall it was a fun 3-6 hour adventure.

And when you get to the ending and finally meet Corypheus, prepare to get some information poured on you that (depending on your view of the Chantry before) may potentially blow apart anything you may have believed previously.

If you like Hawke having no choice about dealing with dangerous people (reminiscent of "Shepherding Wolves" with Sister Petrice), then the ending of Legacy will be right for you.

Granted, there is enough in-game evidence for Hawke to believe otherwise, whereas players metagame and put those opinions into Hawke because of foreknowledge. I personally think it's subconscious and every player does it, whether they know it or not.

There were lots of people I knew were dangerous in Origins well before my character did as well. I really enjoyed the DLC so personally I'd say Legacy was worth the money.

It's a fun dungeon crawl that has some big revelations about the darkspawn. The boss battle has some design issues. Your sibling gets a lot of extra dialogue. It takes anywhere from one to six hours, depending on your playstyle.
That's about the best way to sum it up.

Thank you everyone for your input. I will get it tomorrow as I have an open weekend to play.
