I say nix the Quarians. They have already shown they suck at problem-solving and battles. Give the Geth a chance, see if the "Geth Star" goes off as well as Legion hopes.

In a war, the Quarians would be far weaker. They only have 17 million people left, and while they have 50,000 ships they are often in a state of disrepair, and many are unfit for combat. A single Geth fleet, generally has between 5000 and 10,000 and there is the implication that they have multiple fleets. Due to the fact that they don't need air or food, these ships are likely to be far more useful in combat as they don't need to have living space.
However, the Geth have already been shown to be susceptible to viruses and if Sovereign did it once then the Reaper fleet can almost certainly do it again. Keeping the Geth would be a far greater risk.
If this is a choice I have to make then I really don't know what I'd do. The Geth would be a more valuable asset in war, but saving them carries a heavy risk (inb4 the priiize).

Ideally neither of course but given no other choice then the quarians as they are the next best thing to extinct anyway and the geth are more useful both in terms of military strength and technology.
Not to mention that at least according to Legion the geth are one of only two species that have any idea how bad ME3 is going to get (the other being the Rachni!)

Well let me see...Quarians are a living being made of flesh and blood....on the other side we have some freaking machines made of metal scraps....definitively the Quarians need to live. Kill the geths so they can be useful as metal components for reconstruction after the war...so they are useful after all even dead.

Nope.
Unlike your failthrough, I'll save both the quarians and the geth, because I won't let something as petty as character dislikes get in the way of what I can achieve.
It'll be fun knowing that your Shepard will suck so much that he can't get two fleets and only have to settle for a shot-up one.
Aren't you going to cry about how there aren't any replacements for Tali and Garrus soon?
