Help please... :crying:

I've installed DA2. I've patched to 1.03. Everything played fine.

Then I installed the hi-res textures as described here in this forum. I made the adjustments to DragonAge.ini as recommended in the same thread. (anisotropic filtering, SSAO turned on)

I resumed my last game. After a minute, (at the beginning of a cutscene) DA2 froze. I had to force-quit. When I restarted, the intro videos (Bioware/transgaming) flickered, and then the "press any key" screen froze. Then I got a kernel panic.

After that, the game kept freezing at the beginning first intro video.

Here's a console message that kept repeating during the freezes:

kernel[0]: NVDA(OpenGL): Channel exception! exception type = 0xd = GR: SW Notify Error

So I removed the texture .erf files from "override", and trashed the .ini file. After that, the game is playable again. But:

Now, all my screenshots are black. I can save a correct screenshot with shift-cmd-3, but the in-game hotkey only creates black screens.

I put the texture files back into "Override", no problem there. (I didn't re-activate SSAO, however, maybe that's what caused the crashes? I'm not trying to find out again...)

I take a lot of screenshots during playing, and hitting three keys for every shot instead of one is a big PITA...

I checked taking screenshots in DA:O, and everything works well over there.

As I said, brand new .ini file. Does anyone know what's going on?

Any help would be welcome...

Solved it myself right now: Went to [USERNAME]/Library/Preferences and deleted com.transgaming.dragonage2.plist. Screenshots now work fine one again.

(The 10 seconds solution...)

I'm leaving this thread here in case someone else gets this problem. Still don't know what really caused the troubles...

EDIT: I just found out, by trial and error, what caused the black screenshots: It's the anti-aliasing!(never had THAT problem before...) Turned it off and everything works again...
