Why would you not play Origins? It's a game worth playing, even if it has little to do with DA2 (I wouldn't know, I'm just saying).
I personally just got DA2 on Monday, and I love it. I loved Origins, and I love 2. So I think you should.

I wish I knew what it was like before I picked it up. lol

You could walk around and around in circles for a few hours, or you could play DA2. Both are as dull and tedious as the other.
