Boring but it gets the job done.

For a moment there I thought you were talking about sex with Jacob...

I'd suggest a knife to the kidneys. Boring but it gets the job done.

The Dragon Age way.

See, I'm heterosexual, so that wouldn't work.

But is your Shep is?

Yes.  All of them. Except for Femshep. She has no sexuality. Because she died in the suicide mission. And Garrus never got his Priiiiiize.

Just loudly say "NO ******!" after your Shepard sleeps with Vega and it won't technically count.

It's only gay if you kiss afterwards.

You could use the Elements of Harmony to defeat Vega.

You can't. Bioware has heard all the complains that Jacob, being stable and not needing fixing, was boring so being interesting means having Shepard fix you so he follows you round like Pikachu in Yellow version of Pokemon crying and compaining, then going into an epic blood rage in combat that makes you go "yay!" then whenyou're back on the ship he's an emotional wreck until it's time to shoot something, all the while clinging to Shepard's lieg like a crying lover when you threaten to leave them.

too sarcastic?

Vega's a nice guy and all, but he's not quite friend material. It's not him, it's the squad. Things just aren't working out. I'd like to let him down easy, unfortunately he knows too much. I can't let him tell Zaeed what Grunt, Garrus, and myself did with his rifle (you know, the old, beat-up one that he won't let anyone touch?) last friday when we were on Noverian 'shrooms. Trust me, you don't want to know. Even if you're sick and have a lot of weird interests. It's disgusting. But, back on topic:

How can I put him down in a humane way? The easiest method I suppose would be to just leave him at the pound, and let them do it. But those lethal injections seem a little cruel.

I'm leaning towards either tricking him into boning Jack, leading to his death, or firing him at a Reaper using a Mass Accelerator, thus giving his death meaning and an effect on the war. The latter would make him happy, I think.

Any sugestions?

And what about the other new member, the mysterious vigilante chick? Is she also not exactly a friend? Are you gonna get rid of her too? You better then!

Why does everyone want to get rid of Vega? We don't even know the guy yet.

Jugding book by its cover, much?

Vigilante girl in particular may be a rumor, but it's basically 100% granted there'll be new female squadmate/LI in ME3 one way or another.

I find this weird too. He's done nothing bad or wrong so far and seems like a nice guy. Maybe not Mordin Solus smart (but he's not suppposed to) but honest and reliable.
Yet some people already hate him, want to get rid of him...that's stupid

Well Patrick Weekes did Tweet about a month or 2 ago about he wondering there's no support thread for new squadmate in ME3 and in same sentence he said "oh right, we didn't mentioned her until now".

Whatever, I personally don't care about this new female character. Vigilante or topless dancer, I only mentioned her cause getting rid of just one new male character smells like...you know

Call him "New Guy" for weeks on end. Then, when he does something that would absolutely win your respect, call him by his name... but get it wrong.

Give him one "Good job, Joseph!", and he'll leave on his own.

Oh! WITHOUT upsetting him.  Nevermind.

Bwahahaha, awesome.

Or, like Jacob would have it : your best chance involves an airlock.
Turn the lights off and put a flashy "Restroom" sign on the airlock. Also make sure no one's around when it happens. It won't be pleasant.

Oh and, for the love of Blasto, don't hurl humans at reapers ! You'll taint their shinny armour with guts ! Now how's a reaper gonna' do his business with his suit all messy ?

Simple answer? He's the new guy in a series with absolutely no need for a new guy. We already have 17 potential squad members that fans have varying levels of emotional investment in. Add that they're giving us a smaller squad than the last game, and that they're taking up one spot on that squad that could be used for a fan favorite and giving it to a new character that we have absolutely no reason to care about, there's going to be flak thrown at him. Jimmy Vega may be a perfectly fine, likeable character in his own right, but unless his personality is a complete tribute to Vince Vega from Pulp Fiction, I'd rather have any of the ME2 squad members on my team than him.
