IMHO, Items obtained in ME or ME 2 DLC should be made available to those who had those items as they progress to ME 3. For folks without the previous games and DLC should not be gaining the benefit of those items. In other words: the same way as ME 2 was done regarding ME. That is perfectly fair.

The only item that would count for ME from a dlc is that sweet apartment on Intai'sei. Unless Pinnacle Station itself and that mobile asteroid station appear as well.

Actually the apartment on Intai'sei would be a nice to have in ME3. Interesting to see if it show up again. I found some of those combat missions on pinnacle station pretty tough. Fought hard to get that apartment.

The reward is that you've been able to carry your decisions across the games. Seriously, we do not need any more exclusive goodies. There's already far too much.

ME3 new users will probaly get to choose the backstory like ps3 users and make choices like who lives/who dies/etc. So they can have the same choices as us.

What we do get is carried over is some of our paragon/ renegade/ experience/ me2 weapons, and hopefully, (this part I'm just guessing) some extra points added to our galaxy readiness.

Edit - New users won't have an easy access to paragon and renegade decisions like veterans because they have a lot less paragon/renegade points, until their 2nd playthrough, which was the case for ME2.

New players get to choose major decisions, not the minor ones that still show up that are references only veterans can appreciate. Like Gianna or Al-Gilani to name two..
