It took me a while to think of a reason to hate BioWare that people hadn't complained about many times already, but I finally managed it: I hate you, BioWare, for giving me a Mabari hound. Again.

OMG! I just thought of something! Make Mabari hounds the Chocobos of the DA Universe! Raise them! Race them! Mabari (created from data taken from random CDs and DVDs) battles in arenas! I would TOTALLY HATE that!

I think some posters that object to this thread just don't understand "tongue in cheek irony" It's too bad that they are offended by our having a fun time with this. I suppose they ought to go back to the "hate" (which they describe as "serious discussions) threads, where they obviously find it easier to understand, and feel much more at home. If they are bothered by this thread, why are they reading and posting here?

Dear Bioware,

How dare you for creating a game so powerful and godlike, that my Hard drive in my towering computer breaks down from sheer awesome.

How dare you for creating a game so immerisve and fun that my poor laptop can't even begin to comprehend how to install it before passing out from shock and awe?

ANSWER ME DAMMIT, WHY?????

KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They do not want any evidence that suggests that ANYONE could possibly have enjoyed this game or Bioware may continue to make games that are not carbon copies of DA:O. For the record I think that DA:O did a better job representing "old school" RPGs than DA2 did setting the standard for the next generation. DA2 has A LOT of flaws even though I still enjoyed it. The DLCs convinced me that they understand what they did wrong with the main game.

I hate Bioware for showing that they are able to respond to constructive criticism.

Perhaps they no longer need to try.

They are going to leave you just as you left your laptop.

Do you guys really think I made this whole new thread to hear other people's responses? You all act like this was a place to voice other opinions than mine. I don't think so!

Once again, Bioware, you have failed me. You participated in my satire and made me giggle and smile. My mouth is sore right now and smiling hurts. You should have gotten more user feedback from me personally before doing this.

On a serious note: Glad to see so many of you could take the post for what it is ~ using satire to make just a lighthearted and fun thread with a twist for those of us that enjoyed the game. It's obviously not a game review because of this. It was never intended to come off as belittling, bullying, or whatnot.

@ The Evil One, Stanley Woo -- Can you guys get "out of hand" again and give us Varric fans the option to run our fingers through his chest hair (among other things)? Such blatant catering to fans' desires will force me to hate you all the more.

That would *shudder* require more alcohol than exists in the world. :P

I bought my laptop back in 09 while I was deployed in Iraq, so it's hardly a hippie laptop. -Shakes fist debating whether to download DA2 via origins for the next 5-7 hours, grumble grumble-

Filthy jarhead laptop, then? Sorry, I'm not up on my military slang.

One of the things I hate from you people is the openness to dissenting points of view that you've demonstrated in this and other threads.Gods, why can't you have a bee in your bonnet like everyone else on the internet? Why should I have to start treating all you mere gamers and fans with the respect and admiration due our fun and loyal fanbase? Start stamping your feet and making demands of us and holding your breath until we give it to you! Don't you peons know how game development works? You're the paying customers, dammit, and you're always right!

I can't stand all this enjoyment you're getting from the Dragon Age franchise, and all this cautious optimism about future products! The next product is goign to have none of your input involved, so suck it up, jerks! I'm going to write "I hate all of you douchecanoes" 100 times on my office whiteboard.

:)

(Keep it up, folks. I'm having fun with this thread.)

Now that's more like it Mr. Woo.

I demand more fabulous Male hairstyles. Also where is my signature angry sounding "Can I get you a ladder so you can get off my back." battle cry appearing 90% of the time in DA:O. Also what's up with the lack of cows in the World???

I mean c'mon where does Anders get the Milk to put down in Act 2 in an attempt to find another cat to replace Ser Pounce-A-Lot with???? This is obviously a glaring Plot hole overlooked by the developers. Maybe if the game had more time, everyone here wouldn't be complaining about missing cows.

Tsk, tsk.

If you listen to the background chatter in the Ferelden charity store and in the Lit Latern clinic, you'll be able to hear the citizens talk about how Anders takes care of expectant mothers.

Not sure if breast pumps are Middle Ages technology, but this IS the DA universe.

Oh god, this thread! I've played through maybe six or seven times now, not including characters I've created to experiment with and then abandoned. I finished an Anders Rivalmance playthrough a few days ago that contained things I *still* haven't seen in all my other playthroughs!

Bioware, please, stop making games that make me cry. Hell, stop making games that make my HUSBAND cry!

Text based hate wasn't enough for me so I switched to a visual medium to express some of my rage. This is an abstract representation of our need to rabble

I had almost forgotten about there being no cows; thanks for pointing that one out Reno. The lack of cows completely broke my immersion, yet again. I mean what kind of game can't manage to pepper in a few basic animals like; cows, chickens, dogs, cats, mice, cows, goats, pigs, ducks, duck build platypuses, duck duck goose, rabbits, cows, sheep, geese, Canadian geese, rats, lamas, cows, horses (I want one that shoots purple hearts out of it's hiny while I ride it) cows, shoggoths, donkeys, and cows. See, basic.

@Stanley Woo, Your not getting rid of the "Hawke throws a hot chick down onto the hood of a sports car and makes out with her" scene, are you? Because you promised.:crying:

Cows Schmows, where are the zebras?

Oblivion had sparkly UNICORNS I could ride in it (Shiny enough to make Barbie's horses weep) and what do I get in DAII? My Hawke has to walk on her own two feet? Oblivion is a true RPG, Bioware, live with it. So unless we get the unicorns, the DA series cannot possibly be called that. Or, at least, give us zebras or Oghren's pony or something!

I hate BioWare for keeping me smiling throughout DA2 with all the witty and funny banters. Never before have I liked a cast of character as much as in this stupid game. What were the writing-team thinking, improving banters like that? Banters should clearly be something that the players are forced to suffer through, grinding their teeth while silently praying for the followers to stop talking.

Also, what's up with the really good voice actors? Madness!

I believe that horses are mentioned several times in DA:O codex but we never see one. All I know is that they leave their carts all over the place in DA2.

I lied, just like we lie to you every time we annonuce a feature early on in development only to have it not appear in the final game. Obviously, it's because we're just after your money and once we have it, we no longer care about you or any of your filthy hippie game platforms. DLC is just a way to steal more of your hard-earned money from your wallet while we do little to no work. notice how we automatically deducted the price of Legacy and Mark of the Assassin from your accounts months ago before the DLCs came out. Pretty sneaky of us, wasn't it? And all for no new areas, creatures, characters, dialogue, or even addressing anyone's DA2 concerns.

Oh, and if you notice something awry in your home, it's because we also snuck in and ate your cookies while you were at school and/or work. We also made faces at your puppy.

I knew it! I knew all those early development "this is what we have in mind but it may get dropped or morph into something better" announcements were just blatant lies. All so you could get feedback watch us complain insistently, imagining our own personal worst case scenario get extincted, just so you could take it all away. You're all sick, sick in the head.

I for one am done. I'll never buy anything this fly by night company puts out ever again. I'm not even sure where the expression "fly by night" comes from or if I'm using it correctly but that's just how indifferent rage filled I am. In fact I'm going to build a time machine so I can go back and rip the glossy Jade Empire box from my innocent wide eyed self (but still old enough to be playing).

It doesn't even matter that I had no clue DA and JE were made by the same developer when I got it. It's the principal of the thing.
