And you're this angry now ? In March, you must've been Hell on Earth. Or did you just not buy/play the game until now, and didn't look up all the other pissed-off reviews that have been posted here?

Edit: Second paragraph that didn't get posted(Dang PCs...)

So many people feel exactly the same as you, and I do empathize. I mean, Origins was GREAT. Why try to make it better? Come to think of it, why even try to make another game after that?! Why not just end with Origins, and realize that it was the pinnacle of RPG gaming, the best that is, ever was, or ever will be. Honestly, Bioware!

The OP was being sarcastic.

Ditto

Edit: Damn, it didn't get in my second paragraph. No wonder.

I'm sorry you enjoyed the game, OP. We can only hope that you enjoy less any future games we might make. Perhaps you'll find other BioWare games less to your tastes, and won't buy them in the future. We try to make games that don't appeal to gamers, and I guess we just didn't succeed this time around.

I would recommend that you don't try the Legacy and Mark of the Assassin DLCs because they're just more of the same thing you found in Dragon Age II, but with some of the issues brought up in these forums addressed and "fixed." You wouldn't like that, I imagine.

OP, I totally agree with you. BioWare, how DARE you make a DLC that makes me pull an unplanned all-nighter because I just HAD to see how it ended. How DARE you make a base game that I have been playing almost non-stop for the last 7 months, cruelly neglecting my other games. How DARE you, I mean REALLY?!

Bioware how dare you make a game that I still play months after and how dare you make the game so interesting that I must buy all the dlc.
My wallet at the very least hate you.

Let me just first say that yes - this IS a rant full of unapolegetic rage, hate, disgust, and disappointment like you would never believe. If you could see my eyes right now, you'd be  all like, 'Oh my gosh, he's full of rage, hate, digust, and disappointment right now.' So now that's out of t he way let's get to the details.

You guys made DA2 combat far more fluid than Origns to the point where it's addicting? Screw you! I've played this game twice so far and am still not bored it. It's revolting how many hours I put into this game and all of those hours of fun I can NEVER get back. I expected combat to be more clunky and less responsive and I deserve that. How dare you take that away from me?

You had MORE interesting characters in DA2 than in Origins? I don't think you understand that I ENJOYED not having so many good characters. You HAVE to have at least one uninteresting character so that it's easier to choose who to leave out of your party. Now I have to CHOOSE who to uset? I don't like it. Also, having certain characters I don't like allows me to circumvent my hatred onto those characters for reflective moments. You took reflective moments away me!!!!(x10)

And don't get me started on the story and lore. It's such a joke. I mean really, I love dragons. I love Templars. I love Mages. I even love the whole overarching theme of Templars vs Mages and the bit with the Arishok, but did you really JUST HAVE to spell Meredith's name starting with a ' M ?' Does every freaking single name HAVE to be capitalized in this world? Every other story capitalizes the names of people and places! You can't do anything different for a change?

If it weren't for these STRIKING issues in the game, I would give it a GREAT review, but apparently, you guys messed up big. Hopefully in Dragon Age 3, you'll learn from this post specifically. Maybe have a dev meeting and talk about my points with the crystal intent of fixing all of the above.

I expect more from you guys.

After reading this post I have to add my 2 cents:

Dear Bioware

I am writing to you to express my thanks for your more than prompt release of DA2, and also to answer some of the points it raise.

I will address them, as ever, in order.

Firstly, I must take issue with your description of DA2 as "action-RPG". It might perhaps more properly be referred to as a addictive-RPG. This is how I, at my computer desk have always, for reasons of accuracy; traditionally referred to such games.

Secondly, my frustration at the forum to the "endless stream of crapulent whining and panhandling vomited daily through the posts" has been noted. However, whilst I have naturally not seen the other posts to which you prefer I would cautiously suggest that their being from "haters in councils, Lombardy pirate gamers and pissant gas-mongerers" might indicate that your decision to "ignore them" or read them in case of emergencies is at best a little ill-advised.

Uncommon with my own thoughts, it is likely that some of the posters in the forum do see you as a "lackwit bumpkin or, come to that, a "sodding charity". More likely they want to see bioware, with a responsibility to contribute to the RPG comunity as a whole and lets not forget of getting new players who probably enjoy faster game style.

Which brings me to my next point. Whilst there may be some spirit of truth in some of the complains "go to shore up the canker-blighted, toppling folly that is the Bioware /EA", a moment's rudimentary calculation ought to disabuse you of the notion that the gamers in many way expects you to "stump up for the whole damned party" yourself.
The DLC's you provided for us to enjoy, whilst colourful, are, in fairness, a little off the mark. Less than you seem to imagine is that I had spent countless hours on killing darkspawn/orlasians and it has become "addictive" and the "blooming Rose" whilst my Hawke's have visited far more than you have accounted for has to be adknowledge to, for example, " In DA3."

A couple of  points arising from latest DLC:
1. The reason we don't simply conquer "Tallis heart" or "keep her as a full companion"  it seems to me the dlc has failed;
2. You can rest assured that "sucking the very marrows of those with nothing else to give" has never been considered as a practice because even if the Personal Allowance didn't render it irrelevant, the sheer medical logistics involved would make it financially unviable.

I trust this has helped. In the meantime, whilst I would not in any way wish to influence your decision one way or the other, I ought to point out that even if you did choose to "give the whole foul jamboree up and go and live in canada" you would still owe us nothing. Please forward it by Friday.

Yours Sincerely,

Huntress.

PS: DA3 should have been on the market by yesterday.

Didn't want people thinking we only shut down negative threads or only respond to positive ones. We value creativity and humour, too. :)

I must agree. They do have a lot of nerve. I have plenty of other games I could be playing right now. Lots of big titles only weeks away, and here I am doing another damn playthrough of this game. Fargin' Bastages.

That's right, new games are a few weeks away. Roughly two weeks until Skyrim. Heard good things about it.

Yup Skyrim, and Saints Row the Third a few days after that. What I *should* be doing right now is finally seeing how both Oblivion and Saints Row 2 actually end in preparation for those. Becuase I'm sure I'll never do so after they come out.

But instead I let myself get sucked into another DA2 run. My new Diplomatic Female Mage is leading me to content I never saw before. Curse her and her adorableness.

Eh, on the bright side, you really shouldn't need Oblivion's ending to really prep for Skyrim. If anything, the intro would be the more important aspect. Elder Scrolls games are usually pretty good about letting you start at any point and stay up to speed.

Legacy actually made me miss work. I already wasn't feeling well, but when I looked over at the clock after the first time Corypheus pounded me and realised it was four a.m., well, there goes that work day.

I even got halfway through Deux Ex and stopped to play another run through on DA 2.  And I like Deus Ex.  I'm telling you, it's a real addiction.

Tell me about it. I bought Dark Souls and played it for two-three days straight. Then I kinda... felt like playing DA2 again. So I booted up DAO, finished a game, imported it, and now I'm playing my Hawke. I really should finish up my first playthrough of Dark Souls since I really like the game so far. Somehow it's just not what I decide to do when I sit by my 360 though =S

Curse you, BioWare!!

The exact same thing happened to me. I got about half way through and I started to think "I wonder what playing DA2 with a Mage Warden Save transfer would be like" and BANG! I was back playing DA2.:wizard:

I really need to get back to Deux Ex before Saints Row 3 and Skyrim come out, otherwise I may never finish.

All of us addicts should start a support group. We could have meetings, share our struggles and give out tokens for every day we stay off the game.

Edit: You made me snot-laugh Dubya75, I hope you're proud of your self.

If you don't want to be helped, then I'm afraid there is nothing anyone can do for you...except to suggest you stop not playing DA2.

I completely agree. Although, spitting? Isn't that a little gross? Couldn't you just write them a strongly worded letter dripping with sarcasm?
