i don´t like the vs thing considering that i hope that my warden and hawke would be brothers in arms and it would be up to them to stop the mage/templar war. you could choose who to play as. [/quote

I AGREE.I would like the option to chose wich charactenrto play as.My warden did not die at the end of origins and I feel that as a fan I should be given the option to flollow my warden story. And for those who killed of their wardens give them the option to play as hawke ,a new character or ( if they played awakening) an orelesian warden.

No matter how mind boggingly brilliantly something like this would be implemented - each and every person demanding their warden back would cry for murder - be it because they don't like some line, because they don't like the voice or whatever.

Here are my thougts on DA3:

At the end of DA2 they said that "both the warden and champion vanished, this cant be a coincidence". Now either they ment Anders with that or the Hero of Fereldan. (think the latter) Anyways they will play a major role in DA3 if you ask me. Probably will be part of your party.

Also theres some superstition about it all playing in Orlais, wel if you ask me Orlais is just part of the map then. I think Orlais, Weishaupt, Tevinter, Fereldan and maybe also The Free Marches will take part in the map.

As for the bad guy of the story, it is quite possible that morrigan's kid will be the target of it all or atleast be part of the bad happenings. After all she "dissapeared" at the end of DA:O, and if you played the DLC of DA:O then its yet another sign to suggest that. Maybe he starts a new blight but not with an arch demon but himself. Rallying every darkspawn in the world to do his bidding. And quite possibly have its base sitting in the Tervinter. Flemeth will again play a role in this, not sure as to how big her role will be. Maybe she will take over the body of morrigans kid before the event happen. We'll see.

What i think of the story itself, you will probably have to unite the whole world, clean up the mess the champion left and soothe the tension between fereldan and orlais, plus taking some form of command in weishaupt to fight of this threat and ensure peace between nations and people.

Over all DA3 will be big, realy big, specialy if they wanna take back all the choices you've made in DA:O and DA2, wich can be very different. Maybe this will be a multi-disc game.

But ye this is quite possibly what we will see in DA3. I actualy hope so.

Edit: thinking about it, would be cool to see in a game Alistair and the Warden going to their callings together. This would be epic, both from the history/game and from the emotional point of view.

I know this is days late here, but that WOULD be pretty epic.

Then again, Allistair could be a drunk in Kirkwall somewhere...?

If something likes would happen, then this is enough story for DA3 and DA4 (this one being the against de OGB part)

I don't think we would see all of this in only one game... DA3 is about templars vs mage, period.

Age does not matter to Wardens as much as the length of time it has been since their joining.

I am of the opinion that a NEW character is preferable to bringing back the Warden or Hawke. And NO cameos from previous characters unless they are meaningful.

A drunk but still a Warden!

Better yet... Dragon Age: Endings

Warden, Alistair, Loghain, Anders, Oghren, Nathaniel, Sigrun, Velanna and Bethany/Carver being called by the Wardens for one last mission before theirs callings.

Of course the LI for the Warden would come along.

They would go to the deepest parts of the underground world, and after their mission is complete, they go all togheter even deeper to realize the calling. We would see everyone dying till there is only the Warden, Alistar and the LI, that then says goodbye leaving then be.

LI would latter return to gather what remains of all of then and proper buring would be done.

Too far?

well if you have the dlc wardens keep and leave avernus alive, the wardens can pick when they want to do their callings. think avernus was about 200 years old? im not sure been a while since origins.

also the legacy dlc shows that by killing those who sing the darkspawn song will allow wardens to carry on as normal humans, so da3 could be about finding and killing them

Avernus was old but I always assumed that he used his magic to "cheat" his long life. I thought Alistair said something about "around 30 years or so." I could be wrong since it has been a while for me too.

well he did use magic but doesnt mean he cant cast spells on non magic users, but im pretty sure it was 200 years ago since wardens were banished from fereldan and anvernus was there. I think the 30 you are talking of is for 30 years grey wardens have been back in fereldan

No, he says something like "you will live 30 years, give it our take it..."

And from the Wikia:

Avernus is old and he did use blood magic to augment his life. Avernus states that himself when Alistair says the mage warden is still alive. Avernus says only just. If the warden asks how he did it He states that used magic that the Chantry forbids. "The Chantry foolishly forbids blood magic - but there are so many secrets to uncover."

Bioware should just decide that each Dragon Age be an encapsulated story, thus giving the protagonists the option to perish and not affect the next game. That's my feeling on it anyway.

Also, rather than have Hawke face off against the Warden, I'd like multiplayer instead please.

Yea Avernus used blood magic to keep the taint from spreading throughout his body. Considering he wasn't constantly using the magic it seems like it's a spell that wears off eventually. Similar to the seals that bound Corypheus.

So, one would assume that a Blood Mage Warden could do the same thing to the non-Mage Wardens.

His spell didn't require a sacrifice -- as he was all alone around his 83rd day of being sealed in the tower that he retreated to -- so it's I'd find it baffling if this isn't being used by the Wardens right now.

Yeah. Multiplayer RUINS Bioware RPGs. Just look at BG2. Everyone hated that. The only good thing about BG2 was that you got the exact same game if you were a hero or a villain in BG1 so your choices did not matter.

The multiplayer conversations in The Old Republic seem to be working out ok so here's an idea:
- Make Dragon Age 3 multiplayer
- Have the Warden and Hero be "origins"
- Have the main storyline be playable by either
- Have multplayer scenarios where the two can interact (fight, work together, control conversation ).

I'm dreaming of a 1/4 playbility for both Warden and Champion in DA III, depicting their respective efforts towards the conflict while the 3rd unknown protaganist gets 2/4. Image IPB  Well, I did say I'm dreaming. Image IPB Really, I want both of them back! Image IPB Ah well.

The developers have also said that The Warden and Hawke may appear in the third Dragon Age game, simply not as the protagonist.

Considering i strive to make my wardens/champions as attractive as i can, I don't want Bioware fubaring them up like they did Alistair and Teagan in DA2.Image IPB I'm all for 'honorable mentions' like we got in DA2 when we imported our personal games.
