I know right. Heaven forbid Bioware actually make money off their games.Arcian wrote...

You should probably go read Gamespot's new article today reporting that 56% of console gamers don't buy games, and 85% of the remainder buy pre-owned. I posted the link in the multiplayer thread if you want an easy way to it.
Oh, and Whywhywhy is right. That article on Gamespot makes the reasons for multiplayer crystal clear.
You guys act as if this is a stunning revelation. It's not.
It's been going on for years.
Oh, they want to earn more money by promoting the gamers to buy new copies. Surely they're evil. Nobody else wants to earn more money.

I don't really like the fact that Bioware added a MP mode, but if it doesn't suck and has some sort of splitscreen, I,'ll play it.
As for Bioware wanting a part of the "CoD" sales/money: who doesn't? CoD is one of the most successful franchises ever, and if ME could add a portion of that fanbase into what Mass Effect already has, they'd be rolling on money. But, as it stands, and one player per console "co-op" isn't really the right step. I think Bioware should have waited, but they didn't, so now we're stuck with this "multiplayer" mode. And yes, I said "multiplayer" because technically, you're sitting on yer rumpus by yourself, alone. Sure, three other people might be playing, but that doens't mean you're talking or communicating with them.
I think this will eventually turn into WoW instances: people who know what they're doing will just go, without talking, everyone just playing their part, and in a minute it'll be over, the map will be secured, and you will move on, turning the game from a "yeah now I have more resources to defeat the reapers!" to "holy fartknockers batman wtf is this noob doing?" and simply playing the mode to get the best possible ending, rather than for any other significance.
