I think it's a lot better that Shepard tried to get the kid to take his hand so he can get him someplace safe, but the kid didn't think Shepard could save him, than having an option to get the kid some place safe. It makes the scene much more sad than having another option.

i have played almost 60 ME1 games and counting so i do really feel trapped between basically 2 options in me2 the whole game. So i can simpathize with OP to that extent.

But removing the MP now would be absolutly rediculous.

ME 2 did what alot of middle part of triologies do.  It focused on character develpment and introduced some of the most interesting characters to date (TIM, Legion, Mordin, etc...)

Calm the hell down, your ME3 will still be there, and it won't be any different from ME2 or ME1 in terms of what you got. Fell free to ingore the hell out of MP and let people who want to enjoy it do so.

Hell, I may walk from bioware down the road due to Origin only nonsense. I'll certainly pause before starting a new series.

As far as the direction of Bioware, the RPG started with multiple players at the table, CRPG's couldn't capture that, and now they are getting dangerously close to being able to capture it for a few days worth of play. I say bravo, about time!

Now make me a 60 hour game that I can enjoy with 3 friends, each of us picking dialogue with eachother, and I am sold. How epic would it be to play a small team of spectres or SGS guys doing things in the shadows? Players can persue romances amongst eachother or NPCs, it would be awesome and you know it.

Don't want any part of MMOs though, too many people breaking realism, small would be nice. I'm not a fan of pay to play games or pay to win games for that matter.

So quit crying that MP is in there, because there are economic laws that clearly state throwing more money at SP won't make it any better.

Having replayed ME1 after ME2, I do miss the greater RPG focus.  However, even as an ME1 old***, I still have hope.

EDIT:  And regarding creepy-shep's smile, try to picture the moon from Majora's Mask on there instead.  Sweet dreams...
