Or has the 'community' moved to another website? Doesn't seem to be many recent posts here. I'm just curious - I just downloaded DA:O again and wanted to start with the toolset, but I'm wondering if there is a community around it still.
Does no one use the toolset any more?

There is a community is just not readily apparent I recommend you check out the number of mods still being released for DAO despite DA2 existence over at the dragonagenexus, and if you have any doubts just post them, theres usually someone willing to help uyou out around here.

Well I figure that since DAII Doesn't have a tool set available, people would still be using the DA:O one. I'll check over at the nexus - I'm sure people are still active there.

Plenty of us are using the toolset and are "active", we just aren't spamming this sub-forum with constant chatter like it's Twitter or something - that's not its purpose.

DA:O has a advanced toolset which mean most builders are experience modders, and this group of people rarely bump into things they can't figure out on their own. which give a impression of a dead community. However the community has never been big, and i doubt it ever will be.

Doesn't really matter - I have seen/used many of toolsets over the years and I've seen forums way more active than this a year or so beyond the actual release date. In fact the Dragon Age Nexus forums are much more active. Doesn't really matter if modders are experienced or not, having the newest post in a forum be two months old gives the impression of a dead community.

I don't know what you are on about. The oldest non-sticky thread post on the front page of this sub-forum is like 27 days, the newest within the last day or so.
This is not a general discussion forum. If you want that, there's a whole slew of Origins discussion sub-forums right above this one that have all the activity you seem to be after. This forum is primarily for mod makers that have specific questions. If someone asks a question here then generally someone will chime in and answer it if they are able. Otherwise, there are other things we are getting on with in the meantime.

Yeah that isn't what i saw when I posted this. So I'm not sure what you are getting on about - general discussion or no. When I looked at the posts, the newest non sticky discussion was about a month or so old. Which is what prompted this question in the first place.

yeah, but what is your intention? if you're modding for fun then you shouldn't care about how often these boards are visited. there's enough info lying around to start building. if you wanna get skyhigh download numbers for your mods and check beforehand if this game is still alive then you should move along right now
play with obsidian's toolset to get a hang for it (if not done so already) and build mods for skyrim. this will probably be the better choice if you don't care for a party based rpg.
