Hey all, I just recently bought a new computer and put Mass Effect 2 on it. Now, on my old cpu, Mass Effect ran seamlessly on lower settings. But now, on this new, very much improved computer I am having a strange instance of crashing that didn't occur before.
Basically, whenever I press escape (ESC) to get to my journal/squad info/options/save game etc, the game just crashes. The screen with the menu pops up, but only for a moment before I find myself at my desktop screen.
Any ideas on what I should do?
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium
CPU: Intel i5-2320 CPU @ 3.00 GHz
RAM: 8 GB RAM
Video Card: Intel HD Graphics 2000

You have to use a PC with a real video graphics card in it, simple as that.

Except that the game runs fine up until I try to open the menu.

Presumably a problem with Intel's drivers, all I can suggest is to try updating them.

That may get them by, but Intel so called graphic solutions aren't supported graphic devices, and thus are highly likely to have crashing and performance issues. True some of the latest Intel stuff, does ok, and you can sorta get by, but to fix the issue, install a good AMD graphics card.
