As long as they don't make her run like Hawke. Poor thing looks like she fractured both of her hips.

Where? Female Shep doesn't have abs.

Supposedly she acts like a dog in heat. I haven't done it with any of my FemSheps yet, but a did talk to him a little and it seemed...over the top.

Wow. I guess Jacob has that effect on women.

I guess OP hasn't met many women. Being hardcore as femShep is actually a very attractive trait. They don't need to make her butt wiggle while walking to make her attractive, although admittedly Jennifer Hale takes near all the credit for her sex appeal. She is tough when she needs to, but there are plenty of moments in both games that express her more feminine side.

There have been so many similar threads to this I actually got fed up with coming into them.  Partly because there are such a variety of opinions on this issue.  Secondly people take the context of what is trying to be said totally wrong at times. Thirdly by this point Bioware will have made a decision on the issue by now.

We given it enough feedback and I actually think this is one those situations where Bioware need to do what they think is right and not listen to the fans.  You wont be able to please everyone because differing people seem to have a different opinions on direction which sometimes contradict each other.

But hey, as long as that walking animation of ME2 is gone (which has been tweeted it will be)  im happy.   That was my biggest nagging issue.  Oh and stretched legs. Even in armour there a little too wide.  Not saying she cant look casual, but those legs are oddly far apart!   Although I think Arrival took note of that and didnt have the camera panned too far away on the shuttle ride.

I think it's only fair that if maleshep runs like he is suffering from a mental disability, femshep should too.
Maybe they should add some drool on the side were the cheek rest on the chest.
There are apparently downsides to being a cyborg.

I don't want Female Shepard too be too girly in ME3 but I would like to see her have a seperate animation for walking/running as well as a more dignified pose when she sits down ( especially if she is wearing a skirt ).

Another thing that I would like to see more of is an acknowledgement that female is female. One of my favourite female Shepard scenes in ME2 is when visits the merc recruitment station right before Arcangel's recruitment mission. I love the way the Batarian looks down on FemShep because she's a woman and does not take her seriously and then way Shepard shoves a gun in his face, there was just something about that scene that was very satisfying.

One of the writers of Mass Effect talked about this very thing a while back On His Blog and what direction the writers were thinking about going in.

his question to the fans was if people really want gender differences in video games, and the response was kinda mixed. i seriously encourage people to read it, esp. his response where he talked about the feedback he'd gotten.

a lot of gamers - esp. woman - liked the genderblindness. if you often find dumb people are giving you crap (like the batarian recruiter) you may not want to also deal with that in game. then again, some people enjoy being able to tell him off.

anyhow, it's worth reposting.

I wonder if femshep likes her coffee like the way she likes her men....

A lot of the things that FemShep does with Jacob that make her come off as "in heat" are body language during conversations that MaleShep has as well... such as leaning back against the table.  It's one of those laughably unintentional things that reveals a lot about how the viewers interpret things.

And at least with Thane, FemShep comes off much less... "come get it".

Certainly is.  Especially the after post he made which highlights many of the key issues and creates a neutral playground which I think everyone can appreciate.

For me its not so much what she's saying but how she's saying it. Also the matching wheel dialogue is very bad here I want to say hi and she's all but asking him to come to her cabin I really can't stand it. BW please note nice doesn't equal I want in npcs pants I actually want to befriend them and so choosing middle and top dialogue options achieve that I don't want to be forced to only choose neutral or only choose para top when I want to befriend or act nice to a character.

I think Bioware said something about focusing on friendship in addition to romance, so you shouldn't have to worry too much about that. ^^"

Anyway, as for femShep, I think she's fine as she is; granted, I've only one playthrough with her, so I could be missing something.

No, it's Jennifer Hale's VA in those scenes. She practically moans all her lines when talking to Jacob. I think it was the direction she was given though, because Jacob does react like he's being sexually harassed.

Definitely the direction to blame. I doubt Hale would start acting like that on her own.

Certainly not the impression I had.

Of course, Jacob strikes me as "Hollywood 'brother' transplanted into the late 22nd century" to the point that I don't really talk to him more than I have to to now.

But I don't recall Any of femShep's lines being "moaned" at Jacob.

Like I already wrote in that blog-thing:

I would like to see a more feminine side of Shepard. That does not mean I want a Sailor Moon in mini skirt, jumping around and squeeking like a little girl. Femshep actually needs to be kind of "hard" because of her career in the military, maybe most of the time she needs to hide her emotions, to be strong. But that does not mean she has to walk like a man, sit like a man, stand like a man, talk like a man, gesture like a man all the time and that does not mean that she could not have a feminine side shining through sometimes. That I would wish für ME3.

I am female by the way. And I don't have any problems with gender-differences, because that is part of who I am - a woman and of course very proud of it.

Even for Maleshep though, the way he moves and stands reminds me of Fevola (an incredibly douchy, now ex-Aussie rules footy player who I had the misfortune of being in the same cafe as once). A comparison probably lost on the vast majority of you, but still, I automatically don't like men who feel they have to take up as much room as possible when leaning on the bar to order a drink or when sitting etc.

If they toned down that part of malesheps movements it would be better for both maleshep and femshep imo.

Agreed.

As someone who plays as a male shepard I certainly wouldn't object to that. Keep the dynamic the same between both genders, but centralise it so that any bias leaning towards maleshep is compensated. If Bioware's going to make a change in this regard, that seems like the most reasonable approach.
