If it helps, I approve of both FemShep and Sheploo having a minigun crotch attachment.

So, basically a codpiece.

Do codpieces usually have miniguns attatched to them? I need to start LARPing.

For the record, I only approve of "fem"shep having one.

Ahhh yes, "fem"shep. We have dismissed those claims.

I don't want the badassery of femshep to be dumbed down at all of course, but she does seem awkwardly masculine at times. So yeah, she needs more female-like responses and animations. I don't want her to be girly, just more like a natural female human being. I'm advocating realism here.

Then again, why do I care? I'm probably not going to play as femshep anyways.

No thanks... Other than a few corrected animations is all.

Do not want the one rare female role model in a game I can look up to being turned into a ditsy teenage girl or runway model. :?

Agreed, just make her walk a little more fem, to compensate for physical differences.

It's the future. If they don't have codpiece miniguns I'm gonna cancel my preorder!

I think "normal" walk would be a more .. appropriate term. As a woman myself I can't tell the difference really between a man and a woman walking, assuming both are of average healthy build and are walking in a purely casual / natural manner (that means no "hip swaying" as women only do that purposefully, it's not natural for us to do that in normal walking... and no"strutting" as some men will purposefully do).

Put side to side and asked to walk casually down a hallway I don't think the average human eye can see the subtle differences between the way a man and woman walks when they are doing so in a NATURAL manner.

The problem we're seeing in ME2 is that the running animation itself is horrendously unnatural... for male shep and (exceedingly so) for femshep. It simply needs to be turned into a natural gait and the problem will be resolved.

Having femshep run the way femhawke does in DA2 would be... weird.... as no woman casually runs like that... I'd like to see femsehp and male shep run / jog the same way a marathon runner would do so -- that's a proper running style.

I've said this before. This is a very simple problem with a simple solution. Just put any woman in a motion capture suit and ask her to walk/run and emote normally. That resolves all the awkward clipping and male shepard issues. Done sorted.

Anyway, what is it with these threads becoming a platform for sexist remarks?

They do in Quentin Tarantino movies.  Or at least a gun, if not a minigun:

here's the thing, while femshep is obviously a woman, she's in charge of what tends to be a group of mostly men. so it makes sense that she wouldnt be very feminine. i think that because mass effect 3 is going to be a war story, there wont be much room for letting femshep have moments where her feminine side shows. though in my head when she's not saving the world, assuming she survives, she would retire and not always be Commander Shepard, Savior of the Universe. Though i wouldnt mind if they added a few little feminine ticks in there.

simple said, there is a time and a place. in the middle of a war is not one of those times.

there actually is a pretty big difference in our walks. It's all having to do with the shape of our hips, and that fat distrobution for us is heavier in the hips thighs and butt while in males it's more upper abdominal. also reproductive bits alter all that too as males take a wider stance and longer strides.

we roll our hips as we walk naturally and we actually strike the ground " pound for pound" harder thana male does. In order for a man to walk like a female would he would actually need to wear heels or be on the pads of his feet to force that change in stride and weight shift.

though women with smaller more male like hips don't have as drasstic a difference

though heavy armour would make the " roll" of the hips less noticable, but the male stride does bother me.
