I wouldn't mind if femshep had some swagger in her hips when she walked or ran but nothing too drastic.

Most of it, sure. All I'm talking about is what Cheeze is, a unique rig with tweaks to a few of the animations to acknowledge the difference.

Maybe. I just don't see women walk a lot differently when they are not on stage.

I'm pretty sure I have. But, you know, every single time I try to really pay attention and study the differences, they threaten to call the cops on me! The nerve!

That made me LOL. I know men don't need to sit that way, but they certainly have more excuse for it than a woman. The only time I ever sit with my legs in different zip codes is when I'm doing stretches. Otherwise, it looks rather odd.

I think it looks odd for guys too. What's wrong there, fella, your package so small you've got to point it out to everyone?:o

For some reason I saw cowboys in my mind when I read your post.

Bouncing up and down on an animal and hitting that area several hours a day might do that to you. lol.

I demand more manly side to Maleshep. This means he has to admit to being a brony.

That means that he is into deep classic films. Twenty second century and all.

Come to think of it, making animations gender appropriate must be very hard to do without exaggeration, at least in a video game.

While I do hope femshep comes across a slightly more polite and or gentle(don't hurt me I said slightly!), changing it too much would be out of character, which I probably despise more. I did think she seemed a bit nicer or less rude(har har, don't mean the animations) in ME1 than ME2 though, just a return to that would be good. Come to think of it that's not even a gender thing. Perhaps the polite krogan touched shepard in some way:P. The animations go without saying, they're so many light years ahead in ME1 it's truly puzzling, everything blends so beautifully from changing direction(and sliding!) to transitioning from up to up+left to left that I spent hours just making Shepard run after recently firing it up again in such a long time. Opened my eye to how much oh an atrocious step-back the locomotion was in ME2, not only would Shepard limp along but the constant "snapping" to another direction is well ugly. ME1 animations for both genders plox!

We don't want "swaying heeps," per se, just not MaleSheps bull walk/run. The arms were especially bad; they hang out way too far from the body.

I think you underestimate people's ability to pick up on subtle differences.

One thing I don't get about both ManShep and FemShep is that when they walk, they seem to do so w/ a slight limp.

Of course, Jubileus forbid a girl acting like a girl.

Slow down there bud, we first need to get Shepard to start acting human before we think about him/her acting like their gender.  The reformation from a soulless killing machine is a gradual one.

Shepard's animations never seemed overtly masculine to me. I didn't mind the splayed legs. To me it just showed she's not very feminine or doesn't follow how society expects her to act as a woman.
I hope they don't change anything, because I think it would have to be exaggerated. Society does too much of that with stereotypes already.

in ME2 femsheps animations were the same as the male one. I hope this will be changed

This. I want her to dance decently she doesn't need to go all stripper on us but something more then the shep shuffle she's a girl! Also I'd like the whole sailor sitting to stop she only picked that up in 2 but in dress it's the ultimate no and in pants its still pretty bad. The walking and sprinting in ME they should really bring that back. Fshep really isn't the girly type I imagine her more of like newBSG's starbuck . Oh and while we're on animations can she CG fight larger opponents like Yahg, Krogan, ect with appropriate animations I can't take her boxing that yahg she should've just gone all thai fighter kicking mostly, punching a bit. Her lifting up Kaiden or Ash over her shoulder was bad too but not nearly as bad as the yahg moment.

"I love you, but I hate everything that you are!" Doesn't really work on fictional characters.

It's like saying "I love pizza, except I think the bread should be only 1/10th the size, a lot thinner, and actually flatbread; and the topping should be made seperately with less or no cheese and sprinkled onto the bread in the end." Well then go have some tacos, pizza obviously ain't for you.

Then show me examples of feminine animations in a game that aren't exaggerated.

being a soldier is to be masculine in your everyday behaviour. plain and simple. Having served with female soldiers I know this all too well. They either man up or tend to become useless community bicycles. Sad but true. Ask any soldier today and you will hear the same tale.

Our squad MG was an example (and the only one I know of) that had what it took to truly be an infantryman. The strength, the speed, and the sheer endurance that being a soldier requires. And boy, at the end of it she was as no-nonsense efficency, boisterous tough guy as the rest of us.

Man, you do not want to go there. You start delving into that with the subtle implication that women are naturally more gentle or polite than men (You clearly haven't met enough women!), then it's a short leap to asking why when, if the Normandy suffered damage, MaleShep doesn't immediately offer to fix than sum**** up with some duct tape and elmer's glue.

I feel like I'm missing the point of the post, but I'm a guy and I'm not a fixer-upper in any way.

Just wanted to say that.

As Catelyn Stark said, "Give me Cersei Lannister, Lord Karstark, and you would see how gentle a woman can be."
