FEMSHEP IS A SOLDIER.
SOLDIER WOMEN HAVE SENSITIVE SIDES TOO.
BUT THEY WOULDN'T SHOW IT IN THE MILITARY.
HOW WOULD YOU KNOW JACKASS.
SHE RUNS LIKE A GORILLA WITH HUGE BALLS.
YOU WANT HER TO WALK LIKE A HOOKER I BET.
NO I DONT SHUT UP IDIOT.
YOU'RE DUMB.
YOUR DUMB.
UR DUM.
UR MUM.

I want her to have a animations that generally apply to most women, regardless of "ditzyness", which Femshep is anyway if those romance conversations are any indication. Have a walk/run that fits her skeletel structure, but doesn't swing her ass from USA to Russia. No butch or barbie, just women.

being a soldier is to be masculine in your everyday behaviour. plain and simple. Having served with female soldiers I know this all too well. They either man up or tend to become useless community bicycles. Sad but true. Ask any soldier today and you will hear the same tale.

Our squad MG was an example (and the only one I know of) that had what it took to truly be an infantryman. The strength, the speed, and the sheer endurance that being a soldier requires. And boy, at the end of it she was as no-nonsense efficency, boisterous tough guy as the rest of us.

Let's quote this, and call it a day. ^_^

Agreed.

ME1 was fine. Why they got rid of the animations from there for ME2 is beyond me.

would only work if they hired a military woman to take animations from.

Um...Actually, they could get any woman to take animations from. It's not a problem of working but making sense.

While I do hope femshep comes across a slightly more polite and or gentle(don't hurt me I said slightly!), changing it too much would be out of character, which I probably despise more.

Man, you do not want to go there. You start delving into that with the subtle implication that women are naturally more gentle or polite than men (You clearly haven't met enough women!), then it's a short leap to asking why when, if the Normandy suffered damage, MaleShep doesn't immediately offer to fix than sum**** up with some duct tape and elmer's glue.

Well feminists do scare me, but if you read the rest of my post, I just meant it'd be nice to be able to be polite, not necceseraily to do with gender.

Perhaps to emphasize the fact that Shep had a RtripleD, a makeover and just ain't the same old Shep. .. except they made the mistake of giving the nod to aforementioned - gorilla - romping. Image IPB

Any woman won't do. Military woman would move differently.

A fair point I suppose, though I would point out that this is a fantasy videogame.

That's the thing. Shepard doesn't run like a gorilla, but rather like a gorilla with huge balls.

I personally am certain that when viewed from behind, this female still walked differently. It's just a part of nature.

Doesn't matter how they move. It's not a matter of "working" but "making sense". I really shouldn't have to repeat myself. FemShep should probably have the walking/running animations of a military oriented female not because it works but because it makes sense.

To the op maybe in one to one interactions with the LI of choice. Otherwise femshep doesn't need to be sexy or sassy, she's working for gods sake.

But what sort of point is that? Surely it's important for a story focused game to have good realistic characterization including taking backgrounds into account? It's not as if we're mixing highschool and military like in FFVIII?
