Split-screen however is something that bioware can put into the game. I hate how companies assume gamers have no real friends and therefor no need to put offline in the game.

Look if you are going to do co-op at all, do it right at at least do a 2 person split screen.

I wouldn't even mind if it had to be restricted to two players offline, but the MP strikes me as being most fun when messing around with mates.

This means, unfortunately, that we're less likely to get LAN multiplayer, offline multiplayer, AI-squad options for the MP content, or anything that runs counter to getting everyone online, using EA's servers, and with their PC bent over and open for EA to probe.

It is a bit of a shame that you don't see developers making games playable in split-screen anymore, especially considering most of us have wide-screen displays now.

And if you play split-screen, you don't get to experience the broad vista of the graphics! (Derp.)

The problem is that splitscreen requires the game to be rendered twice so it's either a drop in the framerate or worse looking graphics (for console gamers at least). For instance, Mario Kart 64 lost some 3D models in splitscreen, Mario Kart Wii dropped from 60 to 30 frames per second.javierabegazo wrote...
I would like offline coop too, There are never any games that have split screen coop. It's as if game companies think no one has friends that like to come over any more.

I also wish that more games included offline coop. I really do enjoy getting together with some friends and playing something together. Its unfortunate that to do this we have to pull out our old machines (not that thats bad, theres great games to play on them, just sad that we cant do this with our very expensive next gen machines). Its just not the same over a headset. We are all Transformers fans (cartoon, comics, not so much the movies) and were really looking forward to War For Cyberton, but no couch coop there. War in the North will have it but on a game built for three players only two person offline coop. Why developers? Do they really believe the only way people interact and socialize anymore is over a headset or phone?

By the way, what is the obsession with split-screen? As far as I know there's been no mention about being able to play the game in your house with your friends. You play online with them which I think negates the whole split-screen deal since you won't see your friend's screens anyway.
Also, from the gamespot video posted yesterday there's no cross-platform co-op. If you want to play co-op with friends you all have to either be on PC, on XBox, or on PS3. Your friends can't be on XBox and PS3 while you're on PC.

I just said that there is no cross-platform co-op. It's in the vid.

It can be done, but don't keep your fingers crossed in this instance. Even the split screen is not likely.
I post here because I support ideas like this, but I don't think this one has much of a chance.

Bioware caring or not caring about the overwhelming rejection of Origin is irrelevant. They are owned by EA, EA demands Origin, therefore Bioware must comply.Bogsnot1 wrote...

Bioware must get this message.
They dont give a crap about the overwhelming rejection of Origin, they're just going to ignore this too.
