I still think Colossi are OP. Given the new units in HoTS, I think Zerg still does not have enough to counter them.

Totally off-topic, but is HotS out yet?

No. Not even a release date the last time I checked.

Edit: On topic, Tali is useless with or without her mask. So there. Stop worrying.

Since when?

Since she was downgraded in ME2 to have powers that only really work in very specific conditions.

Well, I didn't find her that useful on insanity anyway.

Not even taking the gameplay portion of ME2 into account her engineering expertise is required to save a life going through the Omega 4 Relay. The fact that in a video game she is important enough to be needed to save a life makes her not useless.

You mean the same expertise that Legion and Kasumi have?

Now I like Tali, it's just her powers are pretty poor.

I thought Combat Drone and Shield Drain were pretty useful and versatile, myself Image IPB

There is an awesome Artist Rendering of Tali's top part of her face. You can find it in Firefox Personas if you search "Mass Effect 2" Look for TaliZorah vas Normandy or Tali Unmasked. In my opinion, it IS the way she should look. Check out her eyes man. Gorgeous! You'll thank me later.... And while you are at it, add it to your Firefox Appearance.

I've seen that picture so many times. You're right though, her eys are gorgeous.

the art of the image you're referencing is amazing..........but I think that should not be how quarians look like.......I'm sorry but it looks WAY too human...

Yes, very beautiful image, but it's a human with pretty eyes and some very mild cybernetics on top of the skin. There's not one other thing that differentiates in the slightest in that image.

Really Tali is risking her life to take her mask off when not on Rannoch and even then she'll still need those boosters inorder to keep it off for a few hours. I'm hoping after we reclaim Rannoch if the player goes back twice the second time she'll reveal herface to us and then only on Rannoch from there on out she'll be helmetless if not switch outfits to a Quarian dress code be that a light armor with toggle helmet or civilian clothing.

Tali wouldn't fair Rannoch much better, she'd need her mask even then.

Not if she plans on adapting. Though it'd be quite gradual. Mordin being onboard would probably help with trying for protective mesures that still allowed for slow adaptation or somesuch. Especially if someone gets him some caffeine.

all of this presupposes that I haven't massively misunderstood, but as far as I can tell, the quarian immune system is based on a process of symbiosis and adaptation, rather than isolation and elimination like other organisms.  Existence in a largely sterile environment, seperated from their native biosphere (which is of course the other half of the symbiosis) has short-circuited the entire system, leaving their immune system horribly underdeveloped, and for lack of a better term, chronically stupid.

What they need is gene therapy to give the whole mess amnesia, and a program of controlled exposure and supplemental drugs to rewire the damn thing.  Despite what she says on the Alarei (which I put down to the extreme emotional stress and the fact that she's an engineer, not a biologist), as far as I can tell, there's no reason that she won't eventually be able to live suitless groundside on Rannoch after a few years.

Complete freedom from the suit elsewhere in the galaxy may not be achievable for her, but the next generation should be fine.  300 years, assuming they have a human-life lifespan is nowhere near enough for their problems to have acquired a genetic component.  Genetics and evolution does not work that way.

Mordin on caffeine would have a cure for the quarians, the genophage and keplers syndrome by the end of the week.

Tali also mentions back in ME how the plants on Rannoch would make a symbiotic relationship with the species the plants would provide benefits to the host for allowing it to use them so they could procreate for all we know Quarians taking off their masks on Rannoch will actually help not hurt and if she combos that with her boosters and herb remedies in small doses then she'll be on her way to adapting. I think Tali did mention a group of Quarians who managed to get settled on a prior Quarian world they got the sniffles and not much else they adapted quiet well.

It would be all non Quarians who will have issues on Rannoch they would have to be suit on and helmet sealed the whole time unless clean rooms can be established and even then thanks to vents they could still end up with issues. I'm sure while on Rannoch Tali or at least some Quarian doctors will mention the in and outs, dos and don'ts to shep and co before they're allowed to set foot on the planet. This would be a good moment to have shep be able to ask info on the planet and confirm or amend info for the player.

lol. Tali is already...usable...without her mask. But sadly not on the battlefield. Shepard's bedchamber only, and you're not allowed to see that.

I want to know if Bioware is going to have Tali useable this time without that stupid mask? I want to see how beautiful Tali is?

If I ever need a prime example of everything that is wrong with the Tali fandom, I will refer to this post.

Vipers are too expensive adn they are only good against colossi. Just a substitute for corruptors.
