Just a question, how did you change Morrigan from her shapeshifting sub class? Beyond that, I've only let morrigan tank once, and that was as a bear/arcane warrior. Immune to grab. Plus the armor rating/resistances was nice.

I've only known one person to have an arcane warrior in their party and they said the game got very boring after that... In his words, "All I had to do was swing my flaming sword at things and they died, there was no challenge anymore."

Q1: That's a fine build. It is possible to respec Morrigan with the Raven respec mod.
Q2: You can do either, but most people use tactics. As Sasha says above, a well-built AW is so good, it's boring. I'm in the middle of a playthrough right now, and I dropped it for SH/BM, and I have more fun casting.
Q3: Yes, in terms of damage output and damage mitigation. You'll still lack Taunt. If she's dying, she may need better armor and especially a good shield. For talents, Miasma is a must. Rock Armor is helpful. Shimmering Shield is very effective, despite its heavy mana requirement.
Q4: This is a very good guide:
Ako's Ultimate Guide to AW
Q5: For most bosses, it's the same as anything else: point, click, go get a snack. With Miasma and your Shields up, you'll shrug off most attacks. Ogres can still snatch you and you can get stung by certain archery talents and buffeted by a dragon, but their other attacks are no more effective.
If you really want a tank, ActionHero's route is worth considering: the bear as a Shapeshifter does work and pairs well with SH. Here's a good guide:

I found AW to be rather boring as well, but rather than drop it I downloaded a mod from Nexus that added some melee skills to it, making it more interesting to play.
With Awakening you get Battlemage as well, which makes it a little more interesting too.

If you really want to spice things up when playing an AW, i suggest you keep Morrigans shapeshifting abilities. Go for Master Shapeshifter asap, equip some armor that you like (not a necessity since shapeshifting brings its own armor/defense bonuses - but Morrigan in massive armor does make for a looker) and most importantly, a nice big 2H weapon... just as in the thread that CBGB linked. In Bereskarn form you will rival the damage of a full-specced 2H warrior.
There are mods, that let you keep your sustainables while being shapeshifted... as to what extend you use that advantage, you'd have to decide for yourself. Being untouchable due to rule-bending is fun the first few minutes, but it gets old very quickly.
As for improving your current arcane warrior, I strongly suggest you read the thread CBGB linked first. Maybe you made some errors in chosing your spells.
