Is there a Lore or Game reason why she looks so drastically different in ME3 while all the other returning characters generally look the same as they always have?

The short answer: we have no idea yet.
Bioware claims Ashley has armor similar to Kaidan, but they have yet to reveal it.

Actually, there are some blurry pictures of Ash's combat armor out there. From what I could see, the armor is dark, missing no parts, and with a white Spectre logo on the front. Pretty cool loooking. But most importantly, her hair looks tied up in a braid.
Why her casual outfit looks the way it does, the only answer I can think of is "she's female"

Wait, for real? If so, this news just pretty much made my day. I hope you're not tricking me here, Iakus. I'm very vulnerable right now.

I would never lie about something like that

Does anyone else think that if there never were any negative response over Miranda's outfit. We would never have gotten armor for Ashley?

Probably not. But in Miranda's case, the AAP did help, as (imo) it still spoke to her character, but also possessed some degree of combat effectiveness.

Do you have the Vega & Kaidan pics too? Could you post? I seem to have deleted them from my HDD >.<don-mika wrote...

OP:
If you werent around for ME1, and dont care to get involved with ME2, why do you care about it for ME3?

Heck I'm suspicious that the negative reaction to Ash's appearance in the "Escape from Earth" trailer may have had a hand in it

"ME3 is a great entry point for people new to the franchise."
"We're targetting a new group of players for our games."
"ME3 is a great entry point for people new to the series."
all comments are paraphrased, of course
Big thank you! :happy:don-mika wrote...
