So, why does Ashley look radically different?

Lol, the level of fanboysm here is beyond any entity's power of measuring.
She's hotter now... I might even romance her in a playthrough... that if she cut the homophobic crap off.
Homophobic?
Romancing a character because of looks while not getting in touch with that character is ... shallow tbh.
What I liked about Ashley's character was that she combined femininity with toughness. She was a front-line combatant who liked poetry and had a close relationship with her family, yet she did not fall into the womanly =fanservice category.
Until now.
I still like her character. Her old appearance and canon!phoenix armor was great, her new isn't better but also not worse. I like her. And I hope I can continue that relationship in the very same mature and challenging way like in ME. No easy going with Ash - real emotions plz!
Besides that I'm looking forward for her new armor.

People change in real life why can't they change in a videogame. After all it has been several years since the encounter on Horizon she might even be married to another man who knows. I welcome the change and hope most of the other characters get changes too.
Several? It's been one. One year.

It may not even be a full year. Some 8-10 months would be possible.Someone With Mass wrote...

1. Since when was that "canon"?CptData wrote...

2. I think you're overestimating squadmate interactions a bit. "Challenging" is a poor word choice when talking about Mass Effect's relationships.

She still is tough, has a femine side to her (as do all tough women), she's still a front-line combatant who still likes poetry, etc, etc. I could go on, but do you see what I mean? She decides to put her down for who knows how long (I'm assuming just for the trial itself) and that makes her a totally different woman? Have you people ever been around woman. My close friend of mine tends to rock a more punk/mohawk type thing and yet she can still look formal and presentable when the need arises. The important thing about that is, she's STILL the same person.
I understand where some of the anger is coming from, but you still have to keep in mind that we don't know if that's her hair for the whole game or how she views certain things. A lot of sh*t happened throughout those two years and few months while she thought Shepard was dead. Also she's obviously not going to be the exact same person from ME1 and neither is any character, but IMO, she will still have all those characteristics that I mentioned up above. Everyone has changed in different ways while being under Shepard's team and you shouldn't expect everyone to have a consistant view of life, it's not the way human's work. Something extreme happens and it can change their outlook on certain things, for better or worse.
And honestly, it's hair.

Oh, the hair is not a problem. It's the combat outfits with enough cleavage to safely store state secrets.

I don't have a problem with sex appeal. I have a problem with marines/soldiers dressing up like idiots for battle or the environment. Those breathers won't do anything on a planet with toxins that can get through the pores in your skin, and I don't think those breast implants will stop bullets.

Why don't you have the male characters bare-chested and in banana hammocks, huh, BioWare?
Obviously because of anti-sex appeal types like CerberusWarrior.

Trolololololol, at least I hope so for his sake.
On topic, the part that cracks me up about all this is that Bioware wrote her a line about her disdain for "thigh high boots" and what do they do? Put her in thigh high boots.
Either they're playing with some irony that I won't understand until I play the game, or they're just very out of touch with their own creation.

He represents the brainless mass of GOW/COD fanboys who came in without any appreciation for the story. Just pew-pew and boobies for him. That's all his little brain can handle.
Since Bioware is no longer in touch with character or lore, and has been deficating on the game with these idiotic, impractical sexed-up outfits, I want Shepard to run around in nothing but an N7-branded banana hammock. Both male and female. It doesn't have to make sense if it's for the masses, right Bioware?

Actually, the females in GoW wear completely unsexualized and practical armour, just like the men. And even though I don't play CoD, I'm certain there aren't even any females in the entire game.Ghost-621 wrote...

You want to know the views of many people in Cod crowd about you pc gamers, or rpg gamers ?
Nerdrage people, Who do not have a life, Who do not know what a female is, who masturbate every day in front of pixels on their computer.
So who is right ?
