You are aware, I assume, that homophobia has to do with gay people and nothing at all to do with aliens? I believe the word you are looking for here is "xenophobic."

I do like that they changed her outfit to a blue color though. The pink screamed girl power too much to me. And she does look a lot prettier than Miranda.

HA! I bash Miranda for her buck teeth, and even I think Miranda looks better than this poor creature.

Heehee, you're right, Miranda DOES have buck teeth! I never liked Miranda's facial structure though, it was too overdone and ended up looking kind of lumpy.
Curious though, what specifically makes Ashley's new look so repulsive? Is it that it looks like she turned into a Bratz doll after Horizon?

I'm guessing they'll handle highly toxic environments and space vacuum with the "mask" like they did with Miranda, Jack, Samara.

I hate the new Ashley outfit. It looks just awful. I'm guessing the other two better looking ones with the boob window will be paid for DLC.

Pretty much. It's like she underwent unnecessary plastic surgery. The exaggerated eyebrow arch and heavy eye makeup make it so much worse.

Miranda was modeled after her voice actress and it was a pretty close likeness except for the blonde hair.

Oh yes, that was annoying. Yet another reason to bring Tali and Garrus everywhere, I suppose; they were the only ones who apparently understood that a full suit was necessary in those situations (even Grunt had some arm exposed).

What did they do to Ashley's eyes? They look like they're about to fall off. Is this what happens when someone with very strong ideas of what pretty women -should- look like designs a character without regard for... anything else, really?

@ Cthulhu42 -- Never mind the fact that the seeker swarm was only effective on characters with EXPOSED SKIN.

Ashley might be getting ready to settle down and start a family. She's on the hunt for the one.

I hope they don't go that route again, it looke dpretty silly with Miranda, Jacob, Jack, Samara, Kasumi, and Liara to be wearing the nose/mouth mask when the environment requires hard suits for everyone else. My opinion: put everyone in hard suits when required and provide casual/dress attire where suitable.

At any rate, I don't think (from what little I have seen and concept art doesn't always count) that Ash is that radically different. A little makeup and letting one's hair down from the usual ponytail can make for a striking difference in many women.

One would think that getting ready to fight the most important war in all of humanity's history would be a higher priority.

They apparently gained the ability to lift characters later on, though.

oh LAWD.

if Bioware really wanted to sexualise her, they could have just slapped on that new armour she has and given her the longer hair rather than screwing up with her face completely

Well, plenty enough Shepards appear to think "the most important war in all of humanity's history" is no obstacle to getting nookies and start relationships wherever possible. No reason Ashley should act hollier than the Pope.

Now if I was writing the script, I'd have Shepard ask Ashley what happened to her. Then have Ash go on about the botched plastic surgery and that she'd got a lawsuit pending against the surgeon. That new look is what I call the "Joan Rivers Effect." She looks hideous.

I really want to know why every chick with long and dark hair must have that sickly white skin tone too.

Even I have more color than ME3 Ashley, and people have compared me to corpses.

1 - The first on the left isn't from the game but a fanart.

2 - you take a beautiful pic on the left and the worse on the right, about a demo leaked, and not at all polished.

Somehow her ME3 face still looks more unnatural/video-gamey than her ME1 face.

Oh man, at first I didn't mind the change. Now looking at that side to side picture, it looks way worse than I thought. Talk about devolution of Ashley's face.

I didn't make the comparison pic. I saw it on reddit a couple of days ago.

Besides, even with her eyes crossed, she's still better looking than the new model.

well if Bioware changes her back to being butt ugly and plain ass attitude from ME 1 for ME 3 because some can not handle change and have a issue with sex appeal in games . then yeah the ugly trick will never be used in my ME 3 game

Lol, the level of fanboysm here is beyond any entity's power of measuring.

She's hotter now... I might even romance her in a playthrough... that if she cut the homophobic crap off.

Homophobic?
Romancing a character because of looks while not getting in touch with that character is ... shallow tbh. :?

Romancing a fictional character made out of pixels, and crying over it is so, oh, very mature....

Let's get real, nothing in this thread or about this thread is serious or mature or anything.

P.S. I said I'd romance her if she'd cut the ******(alien)phobic crap off

Apparently you don't know what homophobic means.
