And that's your opinion and that's fine. And I can understand your opinion, that's why I am for several outfits. Choose what fits the most for Ashley according to you. That's what customization is calling for.xxSgt_Reed_24xx wrote...

I don't care the iconic look of Ashley. What I need, a pratical armor, a diplomatic outfit of something else showing that Ashley isn't anymore a random soldier, and also not only a soldier who is only able to kick ass, hasn't intelligence skills.
She's a spectre now, more than a random soldier. Bioware said she will be more mature, I hope it's true.
"more mature" ... that outfit they gave her certainly doesn't scream "more mature" to me...
Talk about BOOBS, mini skirt if you want. But, When I read that, it means nothing to me, it means some are not interested in debate, only engaged in a trolling, because they do not like it. ( no offense, just my opinion ) I'm not ready to agree with that kind of arguments.
Because, when I am looking at this outfit, it's funny but it reveals absolutely nothing. I don't see the mini skirt, I don't see the boobs. It is conservative. Or at least, show me where are the naked parts. This outfit can take the role of diplomacy dress for a spectre. Especially that it is protected in some parts. This is perfect for a diplomatic mission with officers or other. Not an armor, not too aggressive , but something that can protect her. Perfect.
You don't see the same, no problem, I hope you 'll find what you seek. But try to remember that your opinion is only your opinion, not universal thruth. This outfit is fine for me. Now I wait too see the other outfits.
Some Ashley's fans don't like it, some do. And they care all about Ashley.
What I don't want ? Something generic for Ashley, that shows she is the same random soldier .
I hope the same for the armor.

The facial structure looks pretty much intact to me. Regarding the eyebrow and eye shape, given how they're quite different on the alternative outfit screenshot, i'd be inclined to think that what is shown on the picture in the thread here is a beta glitch -- it's not like Ashley couldn't look quite different in the previous games, too, when things bugged out:xxSgt_Reed_24xx wrote...
completely different eyebrows, different eye shape, and slight tweaks to the facial structure.

Ignore her being cross-eyed for a second and note the eye shape.
You may be right about the eyes.... b/c in the following pic... they look like the ME2 version from that comparison screenshot... but the eyebrows are different and are also adjusted according in this pic. I think it looks much more like her in the far right pic:
Also, I think they eyebrows actually say a lot about her character, but maybe that's just me. The one eyebrow gives her that tougher look, while the other gives her a more feminine look.

Probably b/c they don't give a rat's ass about the character? Therefore, they couldn't care less what happens to said character. They will also not notice changes to said character's facial features OR that fact that an outfit like that goes completely against said character's views. So of course, the majority will just go with it like it's no big deal.

Other than the boots, I don't really see how Ashley would have a problem with what she's wearing considering the situations we've seen her wear it in.xxSgt_Reed_24xx wrote...

She looks pretty. Not sexed up.
One of the things that annoyed me about Mass Effect 2 is that in combat not everyone wore proper gear. I hope everyone armoured up. It ruins the immersion.
Miranda's catsuit was distracting. She was an interesting character. Even more interesting once you stop staring at her backside and actually listen to what she's saying.
Ashley is a decent character. I'm interested to know how she's changed. She looks different because time has changed. Prettier looking, but hopefully similiar character but with a subtle twist.
Before you say it, I haven't suddenly changed my tune. Equiping armour in Mass Effect 1 was great. Why did it dissapear?

I totally freaking agree. She looks absolutely fine. What skin is she REALLY showing? Almost nothing. Not to mention those are her casual outfits. Not her armor.
What people talk about - her looking ****ty, thigh high heels, boobs exposed, I'm just not seeing. People see what they want to see. I think she looks professional. I love piece of clothing over her shoulders that kind of drapes around and attaches. I think the designs are beautiful and I can't wait to see them in game.

To me, is thas little to nothing to do with sexualizing her character. Heck the black outfit is much "sexier" that the blue one, imo. Even without the big gap on the chest. It still shows of her figure to good effect. And it's still a much better look than the blue.
The problem with the blue outfit is that I find it terribly ugly. It's like they tried to fuse the Alliance uniform with an Grey Warden outfit and what hwe got was some kind of abomination (see what I did there?)
The blue outfit I can't imagine anyone taking seriously. As I've noted repeatedly, that is not a casual outfit. It's a uniform. A noncombat, outfit, yes. But that's not what she wears when she goes out dancing. Though I can see how that mistake can be made.
Ashley addresses big important powerful people while wearing that outfit. And she's going to be expected to be taken seriously. How?
And again, if this is a "Spectre uniform" what's Kaidan's gonna look like? WIll it have thigh-highs too? WIll it have ugly white pants that clashes with the rest of the outfit? WIll he have a collar unzipped nearly to the breastbone? (No Ash is not showing cleavage, but that collar is down a lot lower than the other female ALliance officers. Check for yourself if you doubt me)
It's not about sexualization, it's about just plain looking goofy.

Please thats not professional at all. Did you ever wonder why people in the army dont have high heels as uniform ? Why long hair is tied back ? Here is a hint, its not practical, and in their line of work thats a big thing. So no its not, becuase no soldier/marine would thnk "well this may get me and my squad killed, but a look good in heels". or some BS.
Then again I have been on this forum long enough to know nothing comes before fanservice. Not even logic.

Now, this I agree with.
I'll be fine with it as a casual suit so long as Ashley doesn't set foot on the battlefield while wearing it, but as a uniform it still looks very, VERY funny watching it in motion, and it's mostly because of that weird thigh highlight.
Seriously, watch the beta, then hold your finger up to cover Ashley's thighs when she walks on-screen. Her outfit instantly looks much better without those big white hams staring you in the face. That part of the design just clashes *hard* with the rest of the outfit; makes it look silly.
The red version looks 100% better to me because, surprise, SURPRISE, the thighs blend in with the rest of the uniform.

I guess I'm one of those 14 year old noob heads who actually liked Miranda's loyalty outfit and couldn't careless that Samara rocked heels in combat.....I absolutely despised Miranda's armor outfit, it looked clunky, bulky and was still fitted like a catsuit....::shurgs:: to each their own then.....
people say "omg, they're not wearing the right stuff in combat, it breaks immersion"....if you can't focus on the Colussus or YMIR Mech because Miranda's ass or Jack's tattoos are distracting, you're playing the wrong game....
sorry, game rant....a part of me feels like "I'm Commander Shepard and I have the most badass crew in the galaxy and some of them are so badass, they drop shadow strikes and warp bombs in heels, you're lucky they're not in boots or you wouldn't have a chance to reload".......
I think Ashley looks different because the ME-2 characters were sexier, period. If they ported ME-1 Ash to ME-3, she'd look like roadkill compared to Liara, Miranda, a "softer more mature Jack", and the inevitable Tali reveal ::cue Talimancer climax::
That made my day.iakus wrote...
You mean Ash would look like a human being compared to all these demigods?
Yeah that could be a problem to some people. I guess...

Miranda has potato face and uncanny valley animations (before anyone jumps down my throat, yes I do like her), Samara I can't really judge, but her movements unsettled me on occasion. And Jack is...well, Jack.
Not seeing the problem. And anyway, Ashley is her own character, and a soldier class to boot. The characters aren't in a sexiness competition.
