It's not a skirt, it's a long jacket. Indiana Jones has one.

She looked ugly in the first game, much better now tbh
she was ugly as hell in ME 1 and a stuk up ****** in ME 2 . maybe her stuck up ass attitude has changed
I think it's quite clear it's intended to invoke the impression of a miniskirt -- given the combination with thigh-high "boots" and even the imitation of garter belt on the underlying layer between these pieces.DNIdiedAndCameBackAsAHusk wrote...

If it invokes the impression, it means the design is such it can be interpreted in more than one way. And so where you see a long jacket, someone else will see a miniskirt.Sgt Stryker wrote...
So what if it "invokes the impression" of something? What you see is what you get, and I see a long jacket.

So you see a jacket and insist on seeing a skirt? Right, you do that.tmp7704 wrote...

Or to put it differently, there's plenty existing female military uniforms out there which include a long jacket, but manage to stay clear from looking like anything else. That this one doesn't, it'd be naive to believe this is entirely unintentional.
No, i see a jacket which combined with the rest of the uniform looks like a miniskirt. And yes, whether you don't see the similarity doesn't change that.Lord Aesir wrote...

Edit: Compare, who looks more like they're wearing a jacket, and who's wearing a miniskirt and thigh-high boots:
Heck which one just plain looks more ready to give a presentation to important Alliance/Council officials?

To be fair, in that scene Ash had just returned from an undercover assignment as a call girl.
I suppose one could use the "little black dress" term to refer to it instead, but then of course someone is bound to object how the outfit isn't black...InvincibleHero wrote...
I honestly don't get the skirt complaints.
1. A skirt is totally removable and that is a long jacket with pants leggings with high boots over top. It is not a separate piece by any stretch.

You see, while looking at this I can totally see the jacket...
