I actually agree with you on the specifics of the skirt complaint, I'm not seeing a skirt either. Still I understand why people could be reminded of one. And I find the outfit as it is ugly because I think it's ugly and unpractical, not because it features a supposed skirt.

I totally agree with you her outfit isn't sexy. And it isn't practical and it isn't a respectable uniform imo. I can perfectly live with it not being sexy, the other points are my gripes, the legitimacy of which I consider sufficiently justified by the picture iakus posted alone.

I think it's quite clear it's intended to invoke the impression of a miniskirt -- given the combination with thigh-high "boots" and even the imitation of garter belt on the underlying layer between these pieces.

Heck which one just plain looks more ready to give a presentation to important Alliance/Council officials?

Seriously, this picture says it all imo.

It would look almost exactly (except some jacket alterations) like the woman's next to her if they just extended the white leggings and divested of the boots look. That being said it looks like it has hard points (lnees especially) and is more practical than a dress suit. The color scheme is not that great but I think BW was trying for futuristic looking in the sense of high fashion than practical looks. I've seen worse and I've seen better. Not going to complain about it.

The elaborate texturing and all the detail they crammed onto it messes the final effect up rather than helps in that regard, i think.

@Jreezy - Not a modern-day fashion tunic, anyway. But it is nearly identical to the earlier century officers' uniform. It just looks bad.
