Couldn't they just use ME1/ME2 Ashley's face and just up the bust size, give her a new outfit and release The Bun? Seriously, the appearance of a character that's not going to even be in my canon run is very, very important to me.

Is she pregnant, or do her Spectre duties require her to get implants? To quote the second-most-awesome turian in the galaxy, what insane breed of logic is that?

Well she already got a bust upgrade for ME3. It annoys me but I don't pick at that one because all human females had the same body in ME1 so one could argue we never truly knew her bust size.

Apparently. Hey, I didn't make her ME3 model.

I can't believe this foolishness is still going on. Didn't the mod tell you guys, she GAINS armor throughout the game? What else is there to harp about?

Mercy. Let this die, damn it.

This isn't about armor.

This is about an ugly, unprofessional-looking uniform

"un-professional" who really cares? They're fighting for the freaking galaxy. You think people being killed by reapers are going to be like "Oh she's not wearing the right outfit, so she can't save me"

What the FUK ever guys. I think you guys just want reasons to bawl. You guys got your wish, she's getting armor.

Still that is not enough. You want her eyebrows changed, her casual outfit redone. Get over yourselves, BSN. You are not game designers.

My personal opinion on the matter is. I like. The. Outfit. it's snazzy. I can't believe you guys have the nerve to complain about this, when before she had that tacky neon pink heavy armor that looked like some gaudy mess.

Count your blessings BSN.

Why does it always seem to come down to either armor or sex?  I never said she was showing cleavage.  I'm saying that's a formal uniform that' giving a less than professional appearance to Ashley.  Look at the officer next to her.  If the footage is still out there, look at Anderson and all the other officers in that scene.  None of them, male or female, have necklines that low.  Not by a longshot.

Bit I guess Ash just has to feel pretty or something, because she's a Spectre

It looks like Ash can button it up and leaves it open by choice. Are you going to argue with a fictional character whose personality that BW decides upon? Image IPB

Well her writer did leave, might as well make a new character while they are at it.

How can you state that with certainty? We only knew snippets of her personality during the events of ME which took place over two years ago when she had to follow Alliance regs and more so than anyone because she started out in the dog house and every mistake she made was magnified.

You see what I said, and what you said have a bit of an imbalance. I state that ashley's writer leaves, which coincidentally follows these rather jarring changes so far, which leaves me worried.

And you say how should I know what ashley is like because we have only known her a short time? So does that mean jack is actually an upright person who loves business suits and church? That thane is actually a girly girl? That kasumi is actually a butch warrior who hates to steal things? We have only kown those characters a short time, guess we know nothing about them, nope none.

At least those characters didn't have their writer leave so any inconsistancies might be explained away. Ashley? Well lets just say her changes to a more... feminine persuasion, while kaidens more manly attire are just coincidence. Yup.

No, that's silly, you can't argue with a fictional character.

Ideally, I'd argue with someone from BW about it.  But in the absence of one of them, you'll do  And hope the debate gets noticed:P

So people can only mature and change along lines that are acceptable to you? Any and all character growth and discovery is created by the IP owner period.

Indeed. So lets put superman in goth makeup, and the cat in a hat with a strapon ******.

In any case am I not allowed to criticize and/or voice my displeasure?

Except this is the end of that argument. The open collar doesn't bother me in the least. I cannot justfiy it in any tangible way since I have no say in the direction of Ashley. Sorry not likely to be a noteworthy discussion. Image IPB

You'd be best served to PM Brennon or an appropriate BW employee about your concerns. I would think it is unlikely to change at this point but you never know.

Somehow the changes to Ashley are not quite that radical and those charcters have far more established pedigree than Ashley does. Superman 70+ years of continuity and indeed many incarnations that violated the character as envisaged by Siegel and Schuster though not as egregiously as goth make-up but Billy Ray Cyrus black suited supes was quite silly.

Cat in the Hat might be PD so go ahead and make your fan film. Image IPB

Sure there is no problem with making your opinion be known. However, saying it violates established character as your proof is a logical fallacy since BW establishes everything about Ashley. You are trying to make an argument based on that house of cards.

Hey when these changes come after the writer of her character leaves I am going to be worried. From what we know from the so far, from the character I, and apparently others who share the same feelings, have grown attatched to over the course of a game, it is just worrying.

In any case your argument opens up the can of worms that no character has a set continuity. That joker will suddenly stop being the wise ass, that anderson will turn out to actually be a wimp, that jack will stop cussing and put on a sunday dress. You get the idea. Sure bioware establishes everything about these characters, but why would they?

Oh right, ashley's writer left.

All I ever see is, "who cares?" .... guess what? ASHLEY FANS CARE!

If you don't care then don't even bother to click on the thread. If you don't care, then it shouldn't matter to you how we want one of our favorite characters to be portrayed in the final game. We want her character done justice, so obviously we are going to let it be known.

YOU deal with it.

And we should all just roll over and accept... even praise... everything they do, no matter what, b/c it's their IP? Nah, I'm good.

Things can get changed by asking for it... it's happened before. If no one ever suggested things be done a better way then we'd all be living in caves and sleeping on the ground.

Sure, it's their game to make... but the fans are the ones that will be playing the game and if they want to continue to have fans buying games in the future they need to make the games enjoyable, do they not?

And since a lot of people "don't care" ... what's the harm in appeasing the fans of the character if no one else cares what happens to them either way?
