"un-professional" who really cares? They're fighting for the freaking galaxy. You think people being killed by reapers are going to be like "Oh she's not wearing the right outfit, so she can't save me"

What the FUK ever guys. I think you guys just want reasons to bawl. You guys got your wish, she's getting armor.

Still that is not enough. You want her eyebrows changed, her casual outfit redone. Get over yourselves, BSN. You are not game designers.

My personal opinion on the matter is. I like. The. Outfit. it's snazzy. I can't believe you guys have the nerve to complain about this, when before she had that tacky neon pink heavy armor that looked like some gaudy mess.

Count your blessings BSN.

Well, I'm convinced.  Guess that ends this debate
/sarcasm

Hater's gonna hate

Lol, you're talking about yourself right? :? You are one of the few hating it.

Actually, I'm referring to those who say "I'm happy, so STFU"  To those who would belittle other people's arguments or insult them personally rather than have an actual debate.  Or those who cannot abide the fact that someone's less than happy about a feature being thrust upon a favorite character, and who will shout down any dissention.

You may call me a hater.  But at least I articulate what it is I hate.  It's reasoned hate,

No, that's silly, you can't argue with a fictional character.

Ideally, I'd argue with someone from BW about it.  But in the absence of one of them, you'll do  And hope the debate gets noticed:P

Except this is the end of that argument. The open collar doesn't bother me in the least. I cannot justfiy it in any tangible way since I have no say in the direction of Ashley. Sorry not likely to be a noteworthy discussion. Image IPB

You'd be best served to PM Brennon or an appropriate BW employee about your concerns. I would think it is unlikely to change at this point but you never know.

Hey you posted on this thread :P

I've always stated that style and practicality are not mutually exclusive.  An outift can look unique and suitable for its purpose.  Ash's uniforms fails for at that.  I cannot see her being taken seriously wearing that.  Not just the collar, though it's part of it.   But the whole thing.

Wrong. We want her eyebrows UNchanged. And the uniform thingy we are is discussing won't become her casual outfit, regardless of how much you do not care personally.

Actually, I don't even need to answer, I don't really see the problem, eyesbrows, changed, or unchanged. A detail that doesn't change the fact that ash is still the same. Many people didn't even notice this " detail "until someone bothered talk about that. It seems to me again something that some people want to exaggerate to make their point valid. Now I wait to see for the skin.

All I ever see is, "who cares?" .... guess what? ASHLEY FANS CARE!

If you don't care then don't even bother to click on the thread. If you don't care, then it shouldn't matter to you how we want one of our favorite characters to be portrayed in the final game. We want her character done justice, so obviously we are going to let it be known.

YOU deal with it.

Trust me. I know that you care. It's just the amount of bawling it's hard to comprehend. I ask the "who cares" question simply to reassure my faith in humanity. Certainly, there aren't little girls at home, typing themselves into a Fan-fury because Ashley (A fictional character) got a makeover.

I am giving you more credit than that. You and everyone like you are better than that. The issue is a non-issue. You fans need to suck it up. Bioware, even if their gameplay sucks, their content is short, their graphics are average (not that i care too much about graphics) still know how to write good games. That's their legacy, they have good writers. So calm your ass.

Especially, since good writing has very little to do with her BLOODY CASUAL OUTFIT.

I am convinced there is no substantial criticism here. You guys just want to whine.

I don't really care about Ashley's new design to be honest. Some characters change their looks, it just happened to be Ash this time.

How this thread has reached over 900 (no pun intended) replies is completely beyond me.

Of ALL the amazing things that ME3 will endorse... and people worry about a character's new outfit and decision to put her hair down.

If it moves, talks, and acts like an Ashley, it's an Ashley. Whether she's wearing armour or leather. Whether she's rocking a ponytail or a mohawk.

Well, maybe not a mohawk... that'd be Jack.

But, seriously. It's not like she went from looking like Ashley to looking like Morgan Freeman. She just put her hair down, changed her armor to spectre uniform and felt like wearing a bit more make up. Period.

It's funny that Sgt. Reed and iakus are only posting here because they're responding to you and others who are contesting or dismissing their concerns.

I'm convinced you're only here to criticize them, tbh. So, you know, if you don't have anything constructive to add to the debate, it's probably time for you to move on to another thread.

I think we're having a bit of trouble with the definition of "casual outfit." It would be more appropriate to call it her non-combat outfit, i.e. what she wears on the Normandy, and/or when things aren't exploding around her. However, it hardly looks casual. The blue shirt and pants everyone wore in ME1? That's casual wear.

Ding dong. You bet your ass, I'm only here to criticize them. I'm disgusted by how long they've drawn out this discussion. I am all for debate, and I often times let the girls squabble until they tire theirselves out. If only so I don't have to deal with it later.

This however, is ridiculous, they've been going at it for 33 pages, unrelentlessly.

I like the Ashley character too and I'm still not losing my **** over it like you guys are. Take a step back and evaluate the situation. Is it as bad as you make it out to be? Honestly.

Not really, but I haven't been posting much since it was confirmed that it's only a casual outfit.

You missed my point, too. You're taking an active part in the discussion, therefore you have no right to tell them to stop posting in the thread (which is what "stop whining about it" amounts to). So, stop giving them something to respond to, and they'll stop responding. I don't know how I can make it any clearer.

If only it was that simple. If by me ceasing to post, all the fangirl wankery would also cease.

Do you know what i'd do? I'd honestly stop posting. I'd become that martyr if it would work. It wont. They've been discussing this before I came back. Hell, they discuss it in the Ashley thread.

They do not need a reason to whine, they just do it.

Indeed.

Even the on board in the original ME1, that was technically a uniform.  A non-shooty uniform..

And that's what makes Ash's outfit so weird.  It's clearly something to be worn "on duty" as in, attending meetings and going about non-shooty business.  It's got a Spectre logo, Grey Warden Alliance colors, and everything.  But the design appears to be "casual" as in something she'd go out dancing in.

I'm hardly an artist but I noticed some things has changed. First I thought it was just her long hairstyle that gave me impression of something like a badly made Elizabeth Hurley wax doll or something, or perhaps it's lightning but I just couldn't get myself involved enough to post.

My personal theory is "people have nothing new to discuss so resurrect beaten to death themes". For example, character discussion forum is now again on Tali's appearance and Horizon;)
