Seriously guys, there are hundreds of things more worthy of worrying about in Mass Effect 3 than Ashley getting rid of her "Granny Williams" look.

Maybe fans don't want to see their favorite character reduce to eye candy or sexualized for men to drool over her large bust and big butt, not appreicating the female character's personality.
I have no problem with Ashley wearing her hair down and wearing casual clothes when not in combat. Remember in ME1, she wore the Alliance uniform, but when she was in battle, she wore heavy armor. Even if she is a Spectre now, I don't think Ashley will change that. I mean I think it would be even more important for her to wear armor to protect herself from enemies.
Just my two cents.

Does anyone else think that if there never were any negative response over Miranda's outfit. We would never have gotten armor for Ashley?
Who cares at this point. We got Ash in a outfit that speaks to her character more than the other outfit did.

um, no. This outfit is far from her character as we know it. It may fit her new character in ME3, we don't know. But it definitely doesn't fit her character as of now.

it's still unprovoked. Tat does change that it's already in her mind that that specific outfit would make her look sexy. You bring up her "armor" line but this ISN'T ARMOR it's a casual outfit similar to the LBD femshep gets from Kasumi's mission. She's not in combat but for a split second to get Shepard into the Normandy and he's just been through a full combat experience with a TSHRT AND PANTS.xxSgt_Reed_24xx wrote...

Yet, she only says it to a MaleShep (who is the only Shepard that can romance her) and it's only if he chooses the line where he talks about beautiful women and what's not to like.
It's a kind of flirting with the commander which is why Kaidan checks her on it and then you can call her out of line or not.
Edit: And not only that, but with her tone and attitude... how can you not tell she's making a joke and hinting that she thinks the commander is cute or w/e?
A more true comment to her preferences is the one about the Asari commando armor.
But like I said... it may fit her new and "improved" character that Bioware has concocted for ME3. But it's not from the Ashley we knew.

Shepard spoke first. Therefore Ashley responded to show her interest in going to "dinner first" with Shepard. It's provoked.
It's not armor, yet she has been shown wearing it while everyone else is wearing armor (even Shepard). Not to mention... when they are rescuing Shepard on the Normandy, notice how Vega comes out wearing her armor AND helmet. Ashley boarded the Normandy when he did and had the same amount of time to get combat ready.
I'm pretty sure that this was going to be her "armor" until bioware saw the feedback on it being armor. Wonder why we haven't seen a screenshot yet? It's still being made.
As for Shepard's casual attire... thing is, it actually looks practical, unlike Ashley's... especially since he doesn't have combat HEELS.

A female marine in a practical, believable military uniform passes my awesome test. Hmmph, yet another reason why I believe more people should think the way I do.
ah but Shepard did not speak to her. He spoke in general for the species. Ashley has no reason to say that, but she does, unprovoked.xxSgt_Reed_24xx wrote...

Shepard is the main charcter and shows up in every demo, plus the demo squad is Liara and Garrus so they get all the combat screen time pre game release. Ashley is not seen in combat therefore she has no been seen in armor. nothing you say will change that. Nothing at all. It's her casual outfit so suck it up and get used to it.

You are also have enough sense and maturity to appreciate a pratically-dressed woman.
