Here's something, not terribly conclusive as it is blurry, but it's something.

I swear, I swear I saw her in real armor in a picture once. At least once. It was basically Kaidan's armor, with a slightly different color scheme.

No one knows how Ashley's armor will look like.
We know that she'll get some kind of armor, but either it's not finished yet or it is and the Devs simply don't want to give info away regarding that matter.
I'm glad I'll be able to give Ash different outfits. I don't have to stay with her blue outfit with those white panties, that's good enough for me.

But will we have multiple options for noncombat looks? Will the armor be for combat and the blue for noncombat? Can we switch them around? Will we have the black outfit as an option? Will we have to play have the game or worse, wait a year and pay extra to have access for options?

I think we get at least one additional non-combat outfit to choose from plus the one you can get with the CE. I won't get DLC outfits most likely.
Lets hope you can customize it. Maybe we even can pick colors of her outfit, like for Shepard's armor in ME1. That should do the trick. As long as I can get rid of white pants, I'll do it. Either by re-coloring that armor with ingame options or by picking an alternative outfit that doesn't come with white pants.

Instead, it seems like they want people to duke it out; which further enhances my suspicions (As someone else here mentioned.) that Bioware never had Ash's armor in the first place. Either that, or they're mildly sadistic/masochistic.

Except she'll wear armor during missions?
because I won't be talking to her on a ship, ever, right?

The only customization I've heard about is "pick one outfit from several with different stats".

Concept art isn't really a confirmation, otherwise Miranda's hair would be blonde and in a ponytail..HolyAvenger wrote...
Yet another confirmation that Ash gets armor in the Twitter thread with the concept art link.

I noticed that in ME1 and ME2 that Ashley looks like a strong independent military woman but in ME3 she looks like she got implants and botox injected in her face with excess make-up. Also.... Is she really wearing a Tight Suit and heels? Why did she drop the Heavy Armor look? I thought she was supposed to be a Soldier class. You know, like default Sheperd who has pretty bulky armor.
You guys love to send me searching through Twitter thread, right? Here we go, page 402:feliciano2040 wrote...

A question I asked:
twitter.com/#!/PWatamaniuk/status/142265031021707264
"How will squad armor customization work in #ME3? Different outfits like in #ME2? Perhaps stats on each outfit?"
"Squadmates will have different outfits to choose from that will have different stat bonuses."

Looks drastically different? I'm sorry but what? I'd understand if this thread was about Kaidan...
Ash pretty much looks the same, the only differences is that she wears her hair differently,is a bit paler (which might have been just the lightening) and she wears only slightly more make-up,the difference is barely noticable.
And it's already been said that she gets armor.
But I really like that you are so concerned about this when you haven't played either one of the games...just fyi, the character you're playing is actually called Shepard.

"We tried many hairstyles for Ashley. Ultimately the team decided on a less formal look, appropriate since she and Shepard are well acquainted by Mass Effect 3."
I'm not sure I've read this before, but whatever. I don't mind the hair, although this explanation is pretty ridiculous.

False and the arrogance that is yours, to take you for the only fans of ashley, you who are complaining, screaming, that is pathetic. And that makes me despise a little part of that fanbase, where everyone thinks he is a fan of ashley better than others. Or the only one.BentOrgy wrote...
Right, so "Barely noticable," that nearly everyone one of her fans ended up here, to object.<_<
