There is no RPG when the ending is the same no matter what you do.
At least DA:O had different potential endings. The Archdeamon always died, but how that was achieved varied.
Well the actual defintion of RPG would beg to differ -.- any RPG is where you simply create a character to be explored through use of story, etc. What you consider not being an RPG you have labeled because you believe it's a BAD RPG not that it's not an RPG. I don't see why people refuse to believe the concept that an RPG by definition has already been officialy defined.
DA 2 had various ways to achieve the ending as well but how the game overall was executed in comparison to DA:O was a failing. BioWare just needs to get it straight that concepts you have had in a previous game that the community likes does not need to be tampered with. You only tamper with something that your gaming community (consumers) want changed or want to be seen. Of course you don't do everything the community wants but when there is an appalling want for it then you do. It's called good business. (I refer to spells being made into potions or not being in DA 2 at all, companion relationship lacking depth, codex was less in depth, replayability was low compared to DA:O, etc.) I just hope BioWare will pick up their **** and make DA 3 a lot better or DA:O will be the only good game in the series.
