I'm am not sure how many of you calibrate your HDTVs (I know Garrus probably does). In any case, one of the calibrations you can do is to check your HDTV's picture sizing. Usually, the options are 16:9, 4:3, and Just Scan (or a pixel by pixel mode). You would think 16:9 would be the best on an HDTV, but actually Just Scan is. You get the entire picture that is being sent to your TV, instead of the edges being cut off by the 16:9 mode.

However, what I have noticed since I calibrated my TV (w/ a cheap-ish do-it-yourself disc, otherwise you have to pay $200-ish for a pro) is that most TV shows, movies, and video games place subtitles and other GUI inside the "safe zone" that would not be cut off, even if you put the TV in 16:9 or 4:3 mode (I know the reasons, everything must be set for the worst case senario). But this is exacerbated in Just Scan mode, as the subtitles are a couple inches from the edge of the TV and is pressing too far into the scene (for my tastes).

Example (BBC limits for TV):

I was wondering BioWare--just putting it out there--but is there a quick fix you could put in the Options for the game to show that your TV is in a pixel by pixel mode and therefore have the engine place the subtitles and GUI on the edge of the screen outside the safe zone? And the other option would be to keep it how it is.

Just an idea...
