Okay i bought DA II on Steam when it first came out. Infact i pre-ordered it. Now its off of steam cuz of EA telling steam to pike off. Well i just bought MotA off of i assume origins? I dunno i bought bioware points then bought MotA.
When i put it in the file where DA II is located (which is in my steam apps folder) and open the installer.exe it goes through the verification of the installer process. When its done it comes up with an error saying something like "please insert your disc and re-start the installer". Well for one its a virtual online copy and two i dont have a disc. What is wrong? When i installed the high res.exe and the manual patch from bioware i did the exact same thing as i am doing with MotA and i had no problem. Now i'm having all sorts of problems..
Mark of the Assassin wont install

So...does Steam say that their version of DA2 is compatible with downloads directly from EA? I would have checked that first with Steam before I bought it.

1) It is steam more to the point of telling EA to Pike off, by changing it's requirements to host ALL dlc if it is to sell the game.
2) Try dling the dlc again, but don't save just run it when given the option.
3) Also make sure you aren't using any DL accelerators or have any plug-ins while dling the material.

Have looked in Gamlen's House? That's where I found it.
