Then I remember how bad DA2 is and just clicked cancel, I cant play characters knowing that at some point they might have to be in DA2.

Lol! This sounds kind of bad, but I haven't been able to finish a single paythrough of DAO since DA2 came out. I just think about how much of a let down the second game was and I just don't want to play either game. Here's hoping DA3 redeems the franchise.

I am still enjoying DA:O. Using different party members and whatsnot. I realized I haven`t used Sten in my group before.

If you really remembered DA2 you'd know your Origin character wouldn't be in it.Image IPB

You're better off not playing that horrible game anyway. Just start another DA2 playthrough instead.

I'm told that the Witcher 2 is the best game ever made, and will not only provide you with the only entertainment source you will ever need, but will also cure your socially crippling skin conditions.

So for your sake I recommend you play it instead.

Judging by the BSN, I don't think the audience is picking up on that message.

I'm finding it quite hard to go back to DA:O after DA2. I'd started a fresh character a few weeks ago, but good as it is the lack of a voiced PC and the more static combat system is making it a bit tedious (and this is coming from someone who generally prefers turn-based combat). Just not in the mood for it I guess.

Might as well enjoy Origins for the standalone experience it really is.

Skyrim is coming out soon. That might be a fun game. Never tried The Witcher 2. My comp is too old and crappy.

I'm currently in the middle of a DAO run having now completed DA2 6 times. What keeps me playing Origins is the same reason I keep playing DA2, the companions and the story. I can look past Origins Slow combat and DA2's recycled environments because of the writing and performances.

Sometimes I think about reinstalling DA:O, but then I remember how tedious the Deep Roads were and just click cancel. Maybe one day I'll manage to forget how long and godawful boring it was - it could happen - if a piano falls from the sky and knocks me unconscious, putting me in a coma for a year that is.

What I do is I do the Circle Tower, Haven, and Orzammar early on, and then do Redcliffe and the Brecillian last, that way all the ugliness is out of the way and I can get a bit more challenge during my two favorite main quest sections.

I'm still enjoying DAO. I play DA2 when the dlc's come out, but there just isn't enough in it to keep me interested, especially when the same voice is used for a different Hawke in each PT (6 finished runs in DA2) DAO is still interesting for me as I keep finding new things.

I'm just wondering why exactly someone would uninstall it.

I uninstalled ME1 and DAO a while back, to make room for other games on my Xbox. But then after beating those games a couple, reinstalled ME and DAO to get ready for their respective sequels.

lol.

I'm actually planning on getting a 1 TB hard drive in a couple weeks, I've almost run out of space and they're so cheap now.

It's still installed on my Laptop but lags somewhat during cutscenes and heavy fights. If the Hard drive on my computer didn't go to hell, I'm be happy.

This is actually a little reassuring to read this thread. I thought I was just being biased in some bizarre way since the lore and characters were retconned out the wazoo when I stopped playing Origins all of a sudden shortly after DA 2 came out. I really haven't gone back. I loved playing Origins, but DA 2 kind of killed my interest in not only playing that game but also Origins. I guess it totally uninspired me to play the series...which I have never had happen before with a good game with a bad sequel.

I haven't been able to stop playing DA2, it is incredibly hard to finish DA:O again after playing DA2 though. :o
