1.) Sniper with Widow.
2.) Tactical Cloak.
3.) Tactics heavy.
4.) Bonus Power...Either Stasis or Dominance....(Dominance is fantastic with flanking maneuver's)

Vanguard:
1. It's the first class I actually finished ME1 with (my first attempt was as an Infiltrator which never got past the SpecTRe induction and caused me to hate the game for six months before trying again) and that of my canon Shepard. Yes, cheesy sentimentality.
2. Heavy Charge- it's the only reason I started using shotguns, which I now love, and once you get the hang of it it's as good for defense as it is for offense
3. I think the fact that it took me so much effort to get the hang of it in ME2 just made it that much more satisfying.
I recently started a Sentinel and I keep getting annoyed that I have to actually run toward the enemy. I think I've gotten spoiled by the awesomeness of Charge+Shotgun.

Soldier. I'm terrible at using Biotics. I played as an Adept once, and basically used him as the most underpowered soldier ever, only capable of using pistols and never using any biotic ability except Warp because I failed at aiming them in such a way that they'd be useful.
Have you considered using the tactical pause option? It's a great way to learn classes you might otherwise be unfamiliar with. The tactical pause helped me learn how to play an effective Insanity Vanguard in ME2. It doesn't lend itself well to FRAP's and other video recording programs, but it makes the game a lot easier to approach.

*I think that Adrenaline Rush is the best ability in the game
*I like being able to have all sorts of weapons (except machine pistols, Kassa Locust is awesome though)
*It's not so much ability-based gameplay, not really anyhow. And I've always liked warrior-isch-classes most in RPGs.

I must admit that I did use it rather sparingly, as I felt it handled less smoothly than the pause function in Dragon Age or Baldur's Gate. I am planning on going for an Insanity run soon, though, so perhaps I should give it a second chance

- with bonus power Reave maxed out to paralyze two or more enemies at once and then cap them....
~ Looking forward to the Adept getting to use assault rifle AND sniper rifle !
Scene: A Bombed out city on Palaven
Shepard: "Garrus - there's sixty enemies charging our position !"
Garrus: "Great - that's thirty for each of us ! Let's see who downs more !
Shepard: "Loser buys the beer !"

I love charge and punching them in the face. (I don't normally use the shotgun.) I also love Infiltrator.
On a vanguard with sniper rifle training, I use a sniper to peel away the enemy shields then just charge and beat them down. If there was a class between these 2, that'd be my ultimate favorite.
I might just love rogues a bit too much.

You can burn stuff, freeze it, zap it with 'lectricity, summon little helpers to fight with you.
But with the applied use of SCIENCE! instead of using mystical powers.

Funny I always thought of the biotic classes as being more "mage" like. I always thought of tech classes as being more like rogues.

1. Warp
2. Overload
3. Tech Armor
A Sentinel with a Mattock is very very deadly IMO.
