Infiltrator
1.Gives me more options on how to approach the situation than other classes.
2.Cloak.
3.Time Dilation for sniper rifles(hope Mass Effect 3 continues that from 2).

I play the infiltrator but never use the cloak or and rarely use the the sniper rifles and I also play the adept but never use the singularity. I only put in enough points for the singularity to get the ability below it and that is it.

Vanguard:

-No class can clear a room faster (there's been many times where I've cleared an area before my squadmates even got there)

-Vanguard Charge

-Initially not an easy class to dominate with... but rewarding once you do and get the hang of it.

-Requires the most moment-to-moment thought and moment-to-moment action.

Vanguard .... it is the most offensive class there and the biotic charge is my favorite power , also I love flanking and the vanguard is the one that lends itself to that style perfectly , also you can make interesting hit and run tactics , but it takes some time to master/apply correctly also when you add the reaver power , you can take on anything ^^

For me it's Infiltrator, Adept, Engineer in that order. I'm usually more drawn to thought out long ranged roles in combat.

Infiltrator:

Widow, Incinerate, Reave, Tatical Cloak you pretty much can't go wrong! Tatical Cloak has saved me many times over. It's the most rouge class you can get. I was waiting for a dagger and now we got the Omni Blade so I'm good.

Just started a Vanguard and I love it. Shockwave, Reave, just another amazing class. Charge very good power just need to use it very carefully.

My favourite has to be the Sentinel with assault rifle training
1. Warp
2. Overload
3. Tech Armor

A Sentinel with a Mattock is very very deadly IMO.

I tested that at a friedn's house a couple of months ago, it's sick how good that combo is! :D

 I like all six classes.

Mass Effect 1 (favorite to least favorite without additional bonus weapons/powers)-
01. Vanguard- I generally love spellsword types so it works beautifully, sometimes you want to throw enemies around and other times you want to shoot them in the face. Plus my canon is a Vanguard :-)
02. Sentinel- Nice combination of tech and biotics, especially with the Bastion specialization (freezing enemies while in status). Also like the added Neural Shock and that you're useful all around.
03. Soldier- The only class that can equip heavy armour and can take a lot of damage without falling in combat so easily.
04. Engineer- Great debuff class, a lot of fun especially on later levels. Never get tired of hacking AIs or making the geth utterly powerless.
05. Infiltrator- Surprisingly weak in ME1. Only real saving grace is the added tech and can be deadly at later levels. But I'd much rather take a Soldier sniper or Engineer/Sentinel with a Sniper Rifle bonus.
06. Adept- Not a fan of pure caster classes. Not a bad class but certainly *not* my favorite.

Mass Effect 2 (again, favorite to least favorite without additional bonus weapons/powers)-
01. Vanguard- Biotic charge....enough said. My canon specializes in Area Pull/Area Charge and Area Shockwave. Another specializes in the Heavy aspects. Both make people go flying.
02. Sentinel- Awesome tanker class, has more survivability and has all the necessary powers (Warp, Overload, Throw) in order to survive. Allows for another squaddie OTHER than Miranda.
03. Infiltrator- Much improved in ME2. Tactical cloak lets you hide and sniper enemies and feels more like an espionage style character rather than a weak soldier with tech powers (like ME1).
04. Engineer- Very fun to go around burning and freezing enemies alive. Oh...and the Combat Drone. Take Tali and Legion and you can just harass enemies all day while you shoot them at your leisure. :-)
05. Soldier- Kind of a straightforward class. I do appreciate the Adrenaline Rush ability but overall seems flooded with ammo powers. Concussion Shot was ME2's 'Carnage'. Needs more powers to make the class more fun.
06. Adept- Singularity was severely nerfed in ME2...and not as useful. Other than that Adept is a pure caster and half your squaddies are casters. Just don't enjoy them as much.

Sentinal - Almost out of shields? No worries, enemies knocked down and half shields restored, then just restore tech armour :)

In ME1 it has to be Adept. In a room full of enemies just use all your powers at once and the room is cleared in 10 seconds.

EDIT - Engineer sounds like it will be great fun in ME3, possibly my new favourite.

Adept is my favorite followed closely behind by the engineer. Dont like playing as a soldier because its to easy though it is fun killing a gunship with 15 rounds from a mattock. Really hate the infiltrator as the enviroments are to cramped and other then the human reaper never felt a need to actually use my sniper rifle.

Well with a name like mine, melee range is obviously my favorite place to be. And no ME2 class handles that better than Vanguard.

Shotguns (usually named after blades), Biotic charges, shockwaves and the Deadly Elbow of Doom. The most fun one can have without an actual melee weapon.

In ME3 that may change, based on how the whole heavy melee thing really works out.

I'm boring, but my favorites in ME1 and ME2 are Soldier and Infiltrator, mostly because of the weapons you could use. From what I understand, ME3 will handle weapon restrictions differently.

I've played all except for the Soldier class and I'd say mine would be the Adept with Sentinel and Vanguard really close to it. I think mainly cause I enjoy the Biotic powers more than I enjoy the Tech powers because on my current run on Insanity with Sentinel though the Tech armor is practically useless but it has saved my butt numerous times. My reasons? Pull, Throw, Singularity :)

Sentinel (ME2 Version)

1) Extremely versatile. With points in Warp and Overload, barriers, shields, and armor get stripped away in an instant. Warp also deals some great damage to health and Overload helps keep down the fire by breaking guns as well. I like giving myself Armor Piercing Ammo as a bonus power to give my guns a boost as well (helpful, since I always opt to pick up Assault Rifle Training at the collector ship).

2) Tech Armor. While I try to avoid getting my ass shot as much as possible, Tech Armor makes sure my actual health doesn't get scratched. Upgrading it to Power Armor makes me even more resilient to damage while also giving my powers a damage boost. Best of all, I can just turn it on and let it run, unlike Barrier, Geth Shield Boost, and Fortification, which wear off and require you to constantly reapply them.

3) Party Member Options. Sentinel really doesn't have any weaknesses that party members need to pick up the slack with. I can attack with Biotics, Tech, and Weapons decently, so I can basically pick whoever I want to better fit the mission I'm running, or whoever I just generally prefer to run with.

After playing ME3 at Gamex today? Engineer.

Pimp-slapping people into submission.
