When ME3 comes and goes and you learn nothing that's revolutionary concerning Morinth and the Ardat-Yakshi I hope you'll stop with the "We don't know that" argument.D.Kain wrote...

Considering that Asari have to meld to have children I think it's safe to say Ardat Yakshi are sterile since melding is impossible.D.Kain wrote...
Samara says their sterile, it doesn't mean that they are. It might be so, and it might be not.
We don't know that completely. Maybe there is a way for Ardat Yakshi to meld without partners death.

D.Kain would just blame the writers and use that absence as justification for declaring Morinth the best video game character of all time.

Considering that's the only thing that would stop the "we don't know that" argument I think it's pretty clear that any questions about Morinth and Ardat Yakshi will cease.

You kidding? Listen to her talk about Morinth! She loves her daughter. Her voice performance, especially after Morinth is dead, was one of the few times I could appreciate the characters of Mass Effect. She sounds sincere to me.
If you don't appreciate much about the characters in Mass Effect, why do you like the games so much? The characters of Mass Effect are the most important part of it.

Morinth said that Samara was a bad mother, she says this on the ship after you recruit her. Samara may have cared about her daughter (she's her mother, she kind of has to) but that doesn't mean she was a good mom.
I actually think Morinth's problem is Samara's fault because she felt unloved, and Morinth's angst caused her to become what she is. Samara blames herself repeatedly for Morinth being what she is, and repeatedly calls her a mistake that she has to correct.
Not everything Samara said is consistent with what we see of Morinth either.

Someone asked one of the writers if ardat-yashis are sterile or not awhile ago, think the answer the writer gave was to go ask an ardat-yakshi and find out
If they would let me... There were a whole bunch of questions I wanted to ask Morinth, like:
What did she mean by the phrase 'Genetic destiny of the asari'?
How was the life in seclusion?
How did she go about all her years and what does she want to do in the future?
Did anyone actually survive melding with her?
Is her condition addictive?
Does she really feel no remorse?
On top of that I wanted her to be Morinth everywhere, and not Samara in disguise.

Sorry then.
But dues to the lack of information OP isn't saying anything silly at all, really.

Disagree. Basically, the OP is saying "everything we've been told about ardat-yakshi may not be true". Well, the same could be said of anything else in the game. But based on what we have been told, Samara could not be an ardat-yakshi. So the "theory" that she is an ardat-yakshi is predicated upon the idea that everything we've told by every asari we've talked to about them is false. Samara tells us ardat-yakshi are sterile. Samara addresses the genetic factors contributing to ardat-yakshi (only a pureblood mother can give birth to ardat-yakshi children). Samara doesn't tell any lies in the game that we've discovered. Samara's Shadow Broker dossier seems to support her version of other events in her account of the events of Mirala/Morinth's escape from Thessia 400 years ago. So why would Samara lie about that one point? Other asari you speak to give you snippets of info about ardat-yakshi and Justicars. The OP's theory tells us to throw all that out the window. There's just too many moving parts for this theory to fit neatly within the spaces between. Occam's Razor tells us that it's just not plausible.

Sadly D.Kain does not understand this. With him, lack of info doesn't seem to be the real probem, he just doesn't want all of the information we've been given to be conclusive.franciscoamell wrote...

Well Morinth is at the same level with Thane, Jack and Samara. People that are more evil are Kasumi, Zaeed.

Kasumi is a thief and an assasin. She robs people and kills innocent guards that stand in her way for MONEY. Morinth atleast has a goal imo.

Thane kills because he is a tool. Samara kills innocents for the code. Jack kills for her survival, she is most close to Morinth. Zaeed kills random people with no questions for money, innocents or whoever, same as Kasumi, they are mercs.
