Then check out Dragon Ball Z League!

Posted Image

It's like watching some sport event with commentators only that it's Com vs Com team battle in BDZ: Budakai Tenkaichi 3.

There are 16 teams with 4 members, none randomly selected( ie. the Ginyu Force has the Ginyu Force members from show, Team Derp has people who were useless and complete joke in show), that are customized by coach( gets final word) and fans.

In this forum you can help with what A.I. and potara some member should use once you decide what team you like and you're familiarized with game mechanics.

You can check this videos to familiarize with game.

Currently we're in Season 2, so please check out Season 1 as well( though big changes happen in season 2).

And we could really use more people.
Most teams only have 2-3 active fans, while Team Cold still has only 1 guy.
We would like to have more discussions.

Also the most important thing is to have fun.
That's the whole point of this league.;)

Lol, nah really I like DBZ, but I'm not sure what your trying here, like is it a giant "What iff" thread, or a fantasy football sorta deal?

Me and my friends in highschool used to talk about this all the time.

Save everyone the trouble.
Every Dragonball Z ever.

"oh no there is something attacking"
"lets get angry and power up for 30 minutes"
"can they defeat the next enemy? find out next time on DBZ"

next episode
"oh no his power level is stronger than mine I need to find some way to power up more"
"if you think about it long enough you will"
"can he find it in himself to find this new power? Find out next time on DBZ"

Next episode
*powering up to face this new enemy takes the entire episode*
"is this new power enough to face this new enemy? Find out on the next DBZ"

Next episode
*some taunting then finally a 3 minute fight*
"that was close oh no look a new more powerful enemy."
"I just powered down and until I practice it this will take 3 hours"
"you know the drill watch more nothing on the next DBZ"

^Eh, this isn't about Dragon Ball Z the show.

If you don't like it, fine.
Though you can still give this a chance. Half of people following this didn't watched Dragon Ball.

@chrisuuuu
Dragon Ball GT is horrible on it's own.
Compared to rest is not even worth mentioning how bad is GT.

At least it ain't Evolution.

Tried watching Kai and Gohan and Frieza's new voice actors made me want to punch the screen. If subsequent DBZ games past Raging Blast all use the new voice dubs I'm likely to never play another DBZ game again. I still consider Budokai Tenkaichi 3 to be the best one Spike has made.

I loved Dragon Ball Z when I was younger, with the Frieza saga being my favorite. Only seen a few episodes of the original Dragon Ball, and never seen any GT.

I am more of a Saint Seiya fan.

DBZ fights in the series were eternal. Goku vs Freezer was about 30 chapters, and several were filler because they were so close to the manga chapters.
Ironically, the same fight in the manga was pretty good, intense and with good pacing.

I hate DBZ, it's really sub-par compared to other similar genre anime. If we're talking about anime fighting games, I do  enjoy Naruto(both anime and games).

Never really cared for this franchise. I do like Yu Yu Hakusho and Saint Seiya though. (Seiya in particular it's really hard to find fans in the US for; it got big in Central and South America but never here.)

For the purpose of DBZ league, Tenkachi works much better since it allows for team battles and is in a 3D environment.

The thing that makes it neat is that it is computer vs computer matches. The only control we have is the custom abilities of the team. Like a real coach, you can give them the skills but you have no control once they are on the field. You just cheer them on like any other sport. One of the great things about the tenkachi 3 engine is that the matches are very entertaining to watch. We have a lot (and I mean a lot) of matches that come down to one last second counter, or one final beam struggle.

Also, for those you say that DBZ is very generic compared to shows like Naruto, while you are very correct, remember that DBZ was the show that helped create this genera. Naruto bleach and the like built upon the foundations DBZ laid.

Wow, I love Kai. They cut out all that boring filler from the original series and redid all of the dialogue with better voice acting and more accurate translations.

Not that it matters, 'cause no amount of filler-cutting and retranslating will ever beat this:
