Which of these characters that didn’t make ME 3’s permanent
squad would you have wanted?

Serious suggestions

Legion (he will be in ME 3. Might be a temporary squad
member)

Mordin Solus (just a cameo, probably temporary squad member
too)

Urdnot Wrex (temporary squad member)

Urdnot Grunt (not sure he’ll even make it to ME 3)

Thane Krios (romantic subplot)

Samara (not sure she’ll even make it to ME 3)

Morinth (not sure she’ll even make it to ME 3)

Zaeed Masoni (cameo)

Kasumi Goto (not sure she’ll even make it to ME 3)

Miranda Lawson (romantic subplot)

Jack (romantic subplot)

Jacob Taylor (romantic subplot)

Captain Anderson (temporary squad member)

The British sniper from the trailers (what’s his name?)

The Prothean (rumoured to be in ME 3)

Not so serious suggestions. Now please don’t try and argue
that any of the following should be on Shepard’s squad..

The Illusive Man (antagonist)

Conrad Verner (Really? Really????) :o

Wilson/Kenson and Jenkins (won’t make ME 3 because they’re too busy being dead)

The Volus Biotic God (now this is getting silly)

They haven't even said who made the final cut squadmember wise, they've just mentioned a few who are permanent then said that they weren't permanent then said kinda permanent then said no such thing as permanent in a war story, in short we should only count the people said as being confirmed as squadmembers and wait and see who else is on the squad

Even dafter than the Biotic God. We all need a dancing Turian to cheer us up when we're down.

Yeah, they made it clear that by "Nothing's permanent", they really meant "Everyone's dyin' everywherez", so hopefully we'll be able to figure out through trial and error how to save our favourite squaddies. Dissapointed about;

-Wrex (Obviously.)

-Nigel FishNChips (Would take him over Vega any day. There won't be an Earth left to save.)

-T.I.M (Dead serious here; Just imagine... "Ah, Shepard. *puff* It appears during your distracting of those Geth, you were shot in the spine, and will never feel anything below your waist ever again. However, we got what we came for; Those sales forms that Volus wanted. It was a calculated risk." *sips whiskey*)

And in a newer article
"SFX: Is there anything you can tell us about the new character we’re going to see?

Hudson: The story of Mass Effect 3 is a lot more authentic to a war story. So people are wrong to think, “Who are the permanent squad members?” Permanent friends in a war story betrays the concept! So we will be adding people and taking people away."

and in a tweet after that article you mentioned was written "Tali will be able to join your team, but nothing's permanent in #ME3 - it's a story of full-scale war, with lots of twists."

Nothing has been confirmed actually.  Just known squaddies.  Why do you think Evil Chris changed the name of the Confirmed Features thread to Known Features thread because he flat out said that nothing is confirmed until the game is released.  Which means they can talk all they want about this and that now, but it doesn't mean it will actually be in game come March.

It has been stated that all survivors from the first two games will be in ME3.  What we don't know is how they will be used or show up in ME3 and to be honest, I'm fine with that.  Do we need to know who is or isn't in the squad?

People need to get this into their head, not all former squad members will be in Sheaprd's squad in ME3.  Some might come and go.  Some might be one mission only.  Some might be by Shepard's side the whole game.  We don't know who is doing what, but everyone that is alive in your game will be in ME3 at some point.

The British guy totally deserves more time in the game. That accent is just too cool.

ALL of the Squadmates from ME 1 and ME 2 (assuming Survival in both games, of course) will still be squadmates in ME 3, but not all will be on the Normandy at any one time (and some may never actually come to the Normandy).

Anderson will be a Temporary Squadmate on Earth, and try to make certain that there will be an Earth to save for as long as possible. This will actually allow Shepard to have at least SOME time to gather a few Allies.

Wrex. Who's to say he won't rally the Krogan and transport them to Earth? Seriously, as much as the Krogan like to fight, do you REALLY think he won't at least try? Even Wreax (if Wrex died on Virmire) might try. Can't be on the Normandy and still do that....

Shepard has been said to be a natural born leader and rallying point for the races of the Galaxy. This has never meant that you must keep them with you at all times.
