As the title says, Are you going to start another game from the start at Mass Effect 1 before playing Mass Effect 3 to get huge epic experience?

For me personally, I'm going to start playing Mass Effect 1 around February and hopefully by Mass Effect 3 release I should have done Mass Effect 1&2 plus DLC in time.

I know it seem crazy, but who cares :P

I have, finished all six characters (one of each class) in ME1 a week or so ago, finished my soldier and adept and got about half way through my infiltrator when Arkham City came out and monopolised all my time.

Not until about a month before ME3 releases.

Skyrim and BF3 are going to be my babysitters until then.

I completed ME 1 100%-ish (all but mineral and all those missions) for the last time. After you know the story all you have is the gameplay and ME 1 falls a little short in that area. I might do ME 2 again though.

Actually, I'm on my third play through of ME1&2 in the past six weeks. I'm thinking I'm going to do 2 more, just to get my characters the way I like them for ME3.

I also want to do an Infiltrator run through of ME2. Never gotten past the Prolog as Infiltrator.

My plan is to have one Shep for every class ready for import by the time ME3 rolls around. My soldier and infiltrator are done, my vanguard and adept are halfway there, and my sentinel and engineer are tapping their feet on Eden Prime.

After that's done, I plan on doing another one-for-every-class run, this time with the genders reversed because that's how I roll. Since I'm an incurable completionist, that's 40 hours a game, three games each, twelve times.

1440 total hours of Mass Effect. I am going to be doing this until I die.

It takes you 40 hours to 100% mass effect 1 or 2? My time is down to about 11 hours for mass effect 1 and like 13-14 for mass effect 2

Probably one full Soldier playthrough, but that's it.

1. I don't skip many conversations.
2. I like to keep the combat relatively challenging.
3. I do ALL the DLC.
4. I frequently screw around and forget what I'm doing.
5. Damn you, UNC collection missions!

Already done 1st new ME1 run and now I'm debating whether to buy Pinnacle Station for 2nd, final run (to transfer the save with Pinnacle Station to ME2) or just go ahead with second run and be done with ME1

Yeah. I've got two Paragon (mostly) MaleSheps that have done completionist runs through both games and all DLC (one romancing Liara, one Ashley) ready for ME3.

I want to have a Renegade run and a couple of FemShep runs finished before ME3 appears. I'm playing a Vanguard Femshep at the moment. I'd lost my original saves when my hard drive got fried, forgotten how hard ME1 was at first what with being used to using characters that had already been through the game at least once :)

I've already started on my latest FemShep file. I think I've only done Feros so far after getting off the Citadel.

Nope, sorry I just finished fifth and final canon playthrough and I'm fully prepared to import those five characters. I'm all tapped out for ME1 and ME2.

I have a lot of replays to do... namely because I have only 3 male sheps but over a dozen femsheps. Need to explore the various options for male shep so I can bring them to ME3... but I've sunk hundreds upon hundreds of hours into ME1 & 2 and with so many games coming out between now and ME3, I don't think I'll have the time :(

Will have to play: Skyrim, Saints Row 3, SWTOR, possibly Batman Arkham City, (Diablo 3? not sure when that's coming... but I want).... ugh too many games.

Okay if you don't skip the conversations then i can see that adding a lot of time, and i usually keep the combat at casual because my runs are usually just to changes some minor detail so i want them to be over and done with (restarted an entire run because i forgot to finish the conrad verner quest), and i don't have pinnacle station so i don't know who long that takes, and damn the collection missions indeed, and damn whichever developer it was that made a small mention of them, making me go back and do them because it could make a minor change to mass effect 3

Probably. After all, how else am I going to remember what happened? Mass Effect came out like ten years ago, apparently.

In all seriousness, I imagine I will. I've been meaning to play both again anyway when I've the time, and they're both still enjoyable to do so. Besides, I have to go not gas the rachni queen some time.

It's not an urge.  "Urge" is too tame a term.  "Urge" implies I actually want to do it.

No.  I must do it, and I cannot control it.

ALL THE TAGS.  ALL THE MEDALIONS.

Too many games has been my problem as well. I started my FemShep file like a month and a half ago and haven't touched it once this month. Gears of War 3, Battlefield 3 and Batman have been keeping me away. Come next month Skyrim and Saints Row will be making it even worse. I'm starting to doubt the possibility of even playing a Mass Effect game before the demo releases.

i used to feel guilty about leaving those poor dead salarians in anonymity.  i've come to terms with it however.

I probably will just before release, taking just enough time to run through a replay of ME1/ME2 without skipping dialog and doing everything with my canon Shep so I finish about when ME3 releases.

That way It'll be kinda like a full 90-100 hour experience spread out over a few weeks (depending on how long my first ME3 playthrough takes).

I haven't even bothered to finish my one canon Shep for the PS3, let alone my Talimance infiltrator.
