I will play only the first and skip the awfull second game.

You won't be able to import it. What's the point?

Is that confirmed? Should ask Casey

i have one more shep that i just started me 1 with....so i re read revelation, now i'll play through ME1 then i'll go through ascension and import into ME2 and reread redemption....finally after ME2 is done i'll give retribution another go and finish up the Invasion comics and pick up deception and get through it just in time for ME3's release....at least that's the plan....

Hmm, well it hasn't been confirmed, but if they allow direct ME imports, they will have to assume a lot of stuff for ME2 and DLC, like they will assume for ME2 imports with no DLC.

Well they've said thar be a comic to make your decision from for a new game, if this was a perfect world we'd be able to make imports at any stage then continue the rest with the comic, though it does seem unlikely. I wouldn't mind them assuming some things in any case.

I did after reading that background — sole survivor, war hero or ruthless — was going to make some difference in ME3, but I'm not expecting much.

My most intriguing Shep now is one I started and never expected to finish: Adept, ruthless and colonist.

Katherine Shepard, the "Butcher of Torfan," started out with just one purpose: To complete all the biotic achievements after the hard drive on my older computer crashed.

Now I'm intrigued. She's spent all of ME1 and will spend all of ME2 trying to live down her "butcher" reputation. She'll complete all the loyalty missions and the suicide mission with no losses, completely redeeming her reputation.

Then she'll massacre a whole system's worth of Batarians and their slaves in Arrival, and it will have all been for naught.

uhh, you don't have sudden strong urges to go collect salarian id tags?

It's not an urge.  "Urge" is too tame a term.  "Urge" implies I actually want to do it.

No.  I must do it, and I cannot control it.

ALL THE TAGS.  ALL THE MEDALIONS.

i used to feel guilty about leaving those poor dead salarians in anonymity.  i've come to terms with it however.

Watch that mission play a huge part in ME3. i don't know exactly how, but it would be hilarious if everyone who didn't do it got screwed in some way.

That's what I fear, that's why I will play again M1. :pinched::crying:

Damn it.

you'll regret that when an army of zombie salarians come after you wanting thier id tags back!

Considering Genesis that´s no reassurance. I wouldn´t want to start ME3 and then learn TIM kept Overlord, or most minor decission being renegade.

I only have my canon soldier Shep ready to go. All other playthroughs have been sidetracked by Dark Souls, Arkham Asylum and will continue to be sidetracked by Uncharted and Skyrim.

The way I see it, I will fully invest in Skryim from Nov. 11 to January 15. From then on, it's all Mass Effect all the time. We'll see how it works out. My wife is already sick of Mass Effect and my son will be born by late January. I definitely won't be able to play ME into the wee hours like in my younger years.

But I'll be damned if I'm not gonna try.

Don´t complain. Only mention of Cerberus being behind Akuze in ME2 was Vasir calling Shepard out. I really hope we can mention it to every Cerberus op we meet in ME3. With a Renegade interrupt.

I'm not complaining, really. I think it's a good story, a sort of "can't escape her fate," doomed hero sort of thing.

i gotta fit arkham city in there....but other than that not really....i know i can get through playthoughs of ME1 &2 in about 20 hours.....so i'll stick with a replay....i have twin infants, so trying to feel my way through a new game is a bit time consuming...

I've already done so a few times. I may do it again for fun but I do not know what class I would want to play as. Funny enough I have done 3 play throughs on ME1 with new characters brought into ME2 and I have done 3 play throughs without bothering to play ME1 again. ME1 is a fun game but not as fun as ME 2.

I'm replaying a full play through from ME1 to ME2 as a paragon Adept. I'm being more thorough this time around to experience all the content (including the boring stuff!) because I'm sure I missed some stuff previously.

If I'm interested and time permits, I may do a renegade play through, but no matter how hard I try I keep leaning to the more good natured path. It happens to me in every RPG I play.

I've got two ME1 games gong on and two ME2 games going on. I finished my canon Shepard just a few days ago, but I admit, I may have to do a full ME1> ME2 run with her just before ME3 comes out. Skyrim will keep me busy for a while, though.

And yeah, the ME1 games are going fast, the ME2 games are left untouched for days.

My impression is that you'll need an ME2 save to import.

Yeah, I'm playing my canon ME1 playthrough now...honestly I only ever played ME1 with my canon Shep.

I have a few ME2 saves I want to finish, but yeah, not touching those until I'm done with a completionist run with my canon for ME1

Oh yeah, I will definately play through everything before ME3. Just to hit that memory lane experience before ending the trilogy and defeating the reapers. It will be glorious.

I thought about it.

Then I decided if I had to sit through the Horizon confrontation one more time I'd end up tossing the disks into the microwave.
