I dispute #3 and #5. Cerberus aren't the bad guys in ME2. She also never exploits her looks onscreen. She also never tries to seduce Shepard except during the romance scene, and they're in a relationship there. Her "reformation" is entirely optional, and it's questionable how much of that is due to Shep, considering she'll resign if unloyal.
At the end of the day, it's a big part of the character concept, but not a straitjacket.

Honestly? I think it's something they came up with to justify the outfit. MaleShep is never endangered by her, and she is bkuntly honest about what she thinks of him at all times. She's beautiful and deadly but those two traits exist independly.

I dunno. I think a lot of the femme fatale tropes are there. They just don't all work the way you'd expect. But that's the point, really. Every character is a riff on some sort of underlying archetype, but then you add variations and mess around with the specifics.

What else could I expect from a damn Liara mancer.<_<
Why can't we like 'em all? I do...
Miranda's an excellent character, one of the few (along with Tali) that can actually fundamentally change her mind over the course of the game. I just feel sorry for Yvonne Strahovski having to put up with that embarrassing interview (to me as a gamer) on G4 after ME2 came out.
Wanted to chime in about the looks.
I like her ME2 suit just find. Not all the sexiness should be sapped out of all our entertainment just because it doesn't support one group or another's social agenda. It's just irksome to hear people complain about anything being 'too sexy'. Maybe her pants shouldn't have completely stuck to the underside of her butt, but I generally have no problem with it.
The only problem I did have was that there was no alternate full environment suit/combat armor, which is the same problem I have with every squad character except Shepard. Also, I'd like to be able to customize all of their armor, at least. Has nothing to do with Miranda's visual personality.
edit: Also! Yvonne basically wore a real version of the black alternate catsuit, that doesn't stick to her butt, since it's actual fabric and actual fabric doesn't act like that.. along with a black wig, on an episode of "CHUCK". Looked damn good.

Then why don't you mop up your drool and go splash it all over the fan thread where it belongs?

I wonder how many woman would actually walk in that catsuit in reality.......
I think there are quite a few who would. If you look at some of the tights women wear outside you would think they were comfortable with just wearing pantyhose to walk around considering how sheer some of them are.
Honestly, there's a lot of designs out there that are cut in such a way to show off the female form that you would almost believe that a woman would have to go nude to have some semblance of modesty.
I'm not a prude, but I'm just observing everything that's coming into our culture today. When you walk into a store and can see a pair of pants intended for a 6-year-old with juicy on the back or a shirt that says sexy on the front...*shrug*

It's just my opinion. For an all business type, a catsuit doesn't seem to fit.

Depends on your business. Also depends on the catsuit. I knew a fashion type that wore catsuits fairly commonly to my college. A friend of mine's mom, a horse jockey, used to wear them when I knew her growing up. Miranda's not exactly a highschool secretary. She can pretty well wear what she pleases. There's nothing wrong with catsuits.
I don't think there is anything wrong with catsuits myself, but in my opinion, it doesn't really fit her character.
I still like it, though.

This is why I like Ashley so much. She's not the most beautiful woman in the world or the most easy to imagine getting along with, but she's confident, smart, and (again) has a good head on her shoulders. I could benefit greatly by having more women like her in my life.

And to the question of Miranda's ME3 look? The answer is obvious:
Heavy Phoenix armor. WIth a helmet:P

The only ones even wearing armor are Shep, Garrus, Grunt and Zaeed. I didn't mention Tali with the bodysuit group even though her suit looks like a bodysuit under the premise that Quarian suits are more robust and "armor like" for lack of a better word.
I know I may get flamed for this, it's sort of happened before, but at the end of the day it's a game about aliens and spaceships and near instantaneous interstellar travel so why does everything have to be realistic. I really hope that Miranda plays if not a huge role in ME3 than at least a decent sized role and they don't tweak her look too much if at all.

Why is it that when people discuss Miranda they always say how unrealistic her outfit is but Jacob, Jack, Samara, Thane, Kasumi or Mordin's choice of outfit (which are all little more than bodysuits) are never mentioned.
In my experience at least some of them are mentioned rather often. Still, this thread is about Miranda.
