Hoping that she is less of a skank, in ME3. She was so blatantly, fan service that it was almost ridiculous.

-- skin tight catsuit
-- cleavage in zero G
-- ass shots every time you talked to her

I don't mind sexy, but there is a fine line between sexy and skanky.

agreed. there is a line between sexy and skanky, but the RL line is in different location than in games. In RL people prefer subtlty rather than the fantasy depictions of games, comics, and animation. For example, in RL men wear ties that point to their junk and women's ties point to their breasts. In fantasy genres men wear skin tighthomoerotic unitards with cod-peice like contrasts, and women wear physics defying suggestively cut G-string like catsuits, leatards, or bikinis. In ME, not everyone is duded up like that, most are actually wearing conservative dress, but almost anything goes in fantasy.

Why is it that when people discuss Miranda they always say how unrealistic her outfit is but Jacob, Jack, Samara, Thane, Kasumi or Mordin's choice of outfit (which are all little more than bodysuits) are never mentioned. I mean in Jack's case she's basically walkings around with a few of what looks like leather straps to cover the good bits.

The only ones even wearing armor are Shep, Garrus, Grunt and Zaeed. I didn't mention Tali with the bodysuit group even though her suit looks like a bodysuit under the premise that Quarian suits are more robust and "armor like" for lack of a better word.

I know I may get flamed for this, it's sort of happened before, but at the end of the day it's a game about aliens and spaceships and near instantaneous interstellar travel so why does everything have to be realistic. I really hope that Miranda plays if not a huge role in ME3 than at least a decent sized role and they don't tweak her look too much if at all.

Lol, people also forget about light armor from me1. Its all a bunch of bull.

But back to the Miranda discussion, I think the game needs her as a balance for the extremes. She is also the only female LI that Shepard hasnt had to personally save and Thats one of the Things I think is interesting about her relationship with Shepard, she saved his life which is unique to her storyline.

In short I like that she can take care of her self and do great things without needing shepard to help her. That puts her right there with liara minus the invincibilty. I find that, her origins, her personality, and her looks add up to the best character in the series take one away and it would diminish that.

Because have you ever tried to fight in high heels or wear a suit that is so tight that it is stuck between your butt cheeks? Quite uncomfortable... :D

So... Shouldn't her hair also be floating while on the Heretic base, if you choose to take her there?

Oh they are.  Miranda's just the most obvious example, thanks in large part to camera angles.  Samara, Jacob, Jack, they've all been remarked upon as well.

There's a reason I only took Garrus and Tali with me on missions.  It's just just because they're pals form teh first game (yes, what Tali wears is quarian light armor).  And the AAP2 is what got Miranda off my Normandy.

Yes.  The devs apparently felt they had better things to spend time on than hair physics though.  I tend to agree.

Nope.  There was still artificial gravity on both.  It's easier to tell on the derelict because nothing floats off when you kill it, which is how the games have always indicated low grav environments.  As for the Jarrahe station, it just shut off life support (i.e. the oxygen) to kill the crew, and it never says anything about having shut off the artificial gravity.  You don't see anything floating in there either.  They probably should have done it that way though.

So I was imagining legion, shep and miranda float towards the normandy?

Gotcha.

I will concede the station though.

Um...The Reaper was deactivated at that point.

I never said it wasn't? I said at the end of the mission shep and miranda were in zero gravity. What does the reaper being deactivated have anything to do with my point?

You seemed to be trying to dispute the point didymos made about the derelict reaper with your sarcasm when nothing he said was incorrect. My apologies if that wasn't the case but that's what it seemed like.

No, while he did show me the station had gravity, I said that at the end of the mission for the derelict reaper, there was zero G. There was. (or are you telling me shep, legion and co didn't float toward the normandy?)

Didymos was incorrect there, at least in disputing my point about the dereclict reaper.

You said "near the end" not "the very end".  Given that, I assumed you were speaking of the part, well, near the end when you're by open parts of the hull and still haven't, you know, gotten to the end.

Ah I can see where the confusion came from, I consider it near the end because all the cinematic cutscenes don't end until after the round table with miranda and jacob.

although now that you mention it I can see why that is confusing, should have carified.

Maybe her butt and calves are genetically engineered to work perfectly high heels and catsuits.

@evilmunky
As some1 else already said, those people do frequently get mentioned in such debates here, but this thread is about Miranda.

Can people just give it up lol We can hope that Bioware will give people the ability to change what our squadmates wear (Not just out of battle like ME1) and make it so you can change her clothes. I mean basically saying "OMFG I can more or less see her ass please change her shes a skank" is taking it a bit far...
