Joined only 21 days ago. Definitely a new guy, but he is right. Calling Miranda a skank because of her clothes is taking it a bit far. I'll even go as far as to say that type of thinking is offensive.onelifecrisis wrote...

Now that could potentially drag things waaaay off-topic... but who the hell cares.
So, do you think people should be allowed to walk the streets naked?

1. I doubt many people here have actually dared try skin tight leather clothes (Me included but I'm not bi*ching)
2. That people who wear skin tight clothes are obviously who*es/bi*ches/skanks
Plus it doesn't really matter Bioware have already broke physics with the "Mass Effect" why not break the rule that women can run around shooting bad guys and not chafe to fu*k and seeing how most of peoples protection comes from "shields" in ME why not look good while saving the Galaxy lol rather than wearing loads of armour and been just as restricted as tight leathers...

There are two main problem areas with Miranda's (and others') outfits: suspension of disbelief and style.
(1) Suspension of disbelief
...is plainly broken by high heels, cleavage and exposed skin in a vacuum. That simply has to go for ME3. There is a limit to artistic license, and Miranda, Jack and Samara are way past it in ME2. This is a general problem with ME2's style over substance approach.
(2) Style
The problem I have with Miranda's outfit is that it doesn't look classy as it should but cheap. Trashy, in fact. We're told she's a femme fatale but those usually have some style. In fact, they distinguish themselves by exactly *not* looking available, but by being sexy while retaining just the right distance to lure men to their doom. Well, apparently ME2 wasn't made for men but for adolescent boys with no appreciation whatsoever for subtlely or the distinction between allure and availability.
What I would like her to wear in ME3 is this: in combat, a light armor similar to what Benezia's asari commandos wear in ME1, with no high heels, no exposed skin below the neck and an optional helmet that becomes non-optional in space missions. Out of combat, she can wear anything as long as it is somewhat stylish, including that it doesn't look trashy or painted on the skin. Preferably without high heels as well.
Edit:
And while I'm at it, Samara's superhero outfit made me groan when I first looked at it. For slightly different reasons, but the reaction is the same: I do not want anything in ME3 to have that comic-book look.

So... Shouldn't her hair also be floating while on the Heretic base, if you choose to take her there?
Yes. The devs apparently felt they had better things to spend time on than hair physics though. I tend to agree.
I agree as well. Of course, that also means they had better things to spend time on than realistic boob physics.

Maybe they should give you a small "Locker Room" like your equipment locker in the Captains quarters so you can change what your people look like in and out of battle then those of us who don't mind it wouldn't care and those whos immersion it ruined would beable to change it at the first oppotunity. Before anyone says yes I know there is more important thing than playing dress up with your squad mates like avoiding Death by Reaper but people who aren't bothered wouldn't need to touch it
Also about the Ar*e shots... I'm 25 i'm seen my fair share of women's ar*es clothed or not so it didn't bother me one bit, Though i can understand its not everyones cup of tea... so see above hopefully you'll beable to cover her up a bit more in ME3.
On a side note the one thing that did annoy me a touch was Samara's t*ts. Either thats the tightest outfit in the Galaxy or Implants are standard issue for Jusicars.

The armor is very much OK. This thread is about the catsuits. We have a choice of "trashy" or "dipped in black ink". Not that I'd mind the latter in the right circumstances, but really.....this is an epic SF drama with lots of combat.... It's all about dressing for the occasion.Cpt-Brit wrote...
Hmmm I never felt like I was pulled out of my immersion by the outfit... Yes maybe a bit of light armour wouldn't go amiss in battle but i'm not really that bothered (I never downloaded the DLC with her armour in ME2 but i've seen videos and it looks decent)
A choice of different outfits is high on the wish list of almost everyone who's ever been bothered by an outfit in ME2. And playing dress-up with your characters in games has become almost a tradition - Oblivion's clothing mods must run in the tens of thousands, and even in ME2 people use the limited features of texmod to do so.Maybe they should give you a small "Locker Room" like your equipment locker in the Captains quarters so you can change what your people look like in and out of battle then those of us who don't mind it wouldn't care and those whos immersion it ruined would beable to change it at the first oppotunity. I'm not bothered by the ass shots as such - it doesn't reflectly badly on her, and it's the camera man's fault, so to speak - but by the implication of how the developers wanted Miranda to be perceived. As jtav said elsewhere, you can almost hear them snigger in the background. Also they would have been less annoying without those painted-on pants. Also about the Ar*e shots... I just find it funny we're describing an article of clothing that is only seen in fictional media like it's an everyday thing.
"Oh look at that girl - she's wearing a catsuit. What a hoe."

Oh I have a problem with it. The main difference is Miranda is shoved more in your face. Literally.

I'm just hoping she has an armor option like she did in Appearance pack #2 and isn't relegated again to just catsuits... that armor pack worked wonders for making me be able to have at least a modicum of respect for her.

Haha, this wouldn't surprise me.
I was so annoyed by the lack of presence with Kaiden in ME2. There better be more substance to the relationships in ME3 or there's no point even implementing it into the story.
