^ Like I said I take both sides, please see my long post above.

Miri is my LI, so of course I'm going to support her as well.

But by the same token, her treatment of Joker at the end of the game was very uncalled for....as he points out, what was he meant to do..."Break his arm at them?"

Joker was responsible for the ship and it's crew. He failed. Miranda scolded him, end of story.

I actually intepret that scene as a show of respect for Joker and concern for the crew. To Miranda, it doesn't matter if Joker is crippled or not, he is a member of the crew, hand picked specifically for that mission, and she holds him to the same standard of efficiency as everyone else.

Then the fact that the ship was saved should be paramount because had the ship been lost, but the crew saved you'd still be able to get the job done, correct?

It's looking for something else to cry about because you can.  Tali can mind the engine by herself.  Garrus takes care of the weapon systems by himself.  Joker's flying the ship.  Jacob takes care of the weapons.  Mordin works on counter-measures.  EDI takes care of everything else.

I beg BW to please dress Miranda in ME3...body paint outfits just don't appeal.

Body paint outfits have their appeal and their place, and I'm more than happy to go out of my way to look for them.  I, however, don't want them thrust at me considering the character in question has a "woe-is-me" attitude concerning her looks and how she got them.  That tells me either the outfit or the attitude is unnecessary.  And since the outfit is much easier to change I'm going to vote on the outfit.

As a woman my perception of her outfit is a lot more basic....^_^

But he is not...the man has what's akin to glass bones...Miranda should know better and be more realistic as to Jokers abilities, he is a Helmsman, not a Warrior.

I agree that Joker should not have been left in charge of the Normandy in the first place but coddling him because of sickness is much more insulting in my opinion.

Coddling has nothing to do with it...it's just being realistic about his abilities.

My only real concern regarding Miranda's look is her attire if and/or when she appears in combat. The Mass Effect series has put a fair amount of effort into making the universe believable (i.e. codex entries on weapons and ship technologies), and the appearance of some of the characters in combat was rather jarring.
Outside of combat, I don't really care that much. I'm rather fond of the character, but that's got more to do with a fondness for women with Australian accents than feelings one way or the other toward catsuits.

Personally, I'm no fan of Miranda. But her high heels and skin tight suit in combat was incredibly dumb.

The ship is more important but are you really surprised that Mrianda reacted badly when the people she has been working with for the past weeks/months are kidnapped by the enemy?

Joker was not asked to riverdance. He was left aboard a battleship that he can fly with his eyes closed and he was being aided by the most advanced AI in the galaxy with the exception of the Reapers.

I'm not saying that I 100% agree with Miranda's reaction (he did save the Normandy, even if it was by unshackling an AI that could have very easily turned on them), however, I like the fact that she has enough respect for Joker to consider that him failing warrants a scolding.

Still, her anger was misplaced... she should have been yelling at Shepard for being stupid enough to put Joker in charge with no support.

You don't give a gun to a person with no arms, ask them to guard your house and then blame them when your house is robbed. You blame yourself for being stupid enough to put an unqualified person in a position of authority / power.

I actually want Miranda to look a little bit like she did in ME2 but with some armor, not full body armor like that DLC.

I think this would be the ideal.

No, her DLC armor with a helmet would be ideal.

For her character, it's not.

I partially agree.
Shepard definitively deserved a scolding too but Joker and EDI (especially EDI who, apparently, didn't even scrub the IFF) should have been able to prevent the Collectors from disabling the Normandy's systems and boarding the ship.
From thereon, Joker did the best he could on a situation that played against all of his strengths and managed to save the mission. He deserved praise even if unshackling EDI was an enormous risk.

But Joker was not alone on the ship and he was in charge of the Normandy.  If someone was left in charge the same thing would have happen and Miranda would still be in her rights to be angry at the person.

Actually I am surprised.  I would have expected it from Jacob.  Not from Miranda.

I not have been here long enough, but a lot of people had problems with Miranda's looks?  Was it a lot of men who dislike it or women?   :crying:

catsuit and high heels in combat and total vacuum. And she was supposed to be an officer? I could never take her seriously as a character. She was eye candy, nothing more. Which I find stupid and insulting.

Didn't you listen in the game?!?! she had those looks to gain an edge in all situations due to her genetic modifications mentally as well as physically.

I guess she could seduce hostile worlds to take it easier on her. So her eyes wouldn't burn like Shepard's would if exposed to certain areas. The ground also sways at her every step so she's never unbalanced and at risk of twisting her ankle.

Meh...as a woman, it doesn't wash with me...Miranda is designed to be eye candy, the cat suit and heels are ridiculous and make no sense what so ever...Combat in that outfit = Die young with a good looking corpse?

There are other ocasions in the game that show Miranda genuinely cares about the people she works with. She simply places the mission first at all times. That makes her ruthless, but she is not heartless.

She was mostly fanservice in that regard.

I didn't mind Miranda's outfit on the ship (as a healthy male, I'd be lying and be a hypocrite if I said that I didn't buy what she was selling), but I minded it in zero-g/zero atmosphere missions. And she wasnt the only one that pissed me off on that one. Everyone should have had a fully sealed suit for those kinds of missions.

If I objectify a woman, that's bad, but if a woman is comfortable with her sexuality like that, so be it. Same goes for Jacob, who was wearing an underarmor tee that just happen to have a hardsuit computer and a mass effect barrier.

Miranda and Samara's outfits were so ridiculous that I was half-expecting that they'd eventually start jumping up and down so that Shepard could see their jigglies bounce ... and judging by some of the camera shots in-game I wasn't too far off the mark.

Jacobs outfit is beyond ridiculous also...like Miranda, I can't take him seriously either...a man displaying his junk is just 'No!'....I have no issue with fit, healthy young men and women flaunting their wares...I just don't want to see what they had for dinner, there's a line drawn....but a Soldier in combat and on a combat ship...just No....it's ricidulous.
